Bosch 226 threads
10.8V now 12V worldwide

New 12V (10.8V) brushless

First answer: Nice stuff Jeff. You can get the impact gun on eBay or Amazon UK and Germany but it's pricey. I have been making to with my PS22 brushless screw driver and truthfully, I'd go Bosch over the Milwaukee M12s any day of the week but that because I really like the super compact size, they don't over power the Milwaukees. I…

Hilti 12v Hammer Drill Driver Vs. Milwaukee M12 Fuel
Question: Good day! This isn't a full tool review, just an initial observation of the new Hilti 12v Drill and a comparison to a Milwaukee 12v Drill that I have had for awhile.Right out of the box you can see that Hilti spent time on the design. There are no extra ridges…
First answer: Nice comparison, I was tempted but I'll stick with the m12s for now, I can't justify buying into another 12v line as tempting as that deal is.JimboSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

First answer: Hilti makes great stuff TIA has reviewed a bunch of their tools and never have anything negative to say about Hitli. The only thing is you might want to make sure you have a Hilti service center close by just in-case any thing does go wrong.
Interesting Drill Comparison
Question: I found this pretty interesting, keep in mind that the Hilti is NOT a brushless model. I assumed that Milwaukee would have been number #2, go go Makita! Pound for pound, the Ridgid seems the hands down value leader…

Makita Battery cell 20700
Question: Does Makita work on new batteries with the bigger 20700 cells found in Metabo LiHD and Bosh CORE/ENERASER batteries? Will we see any time soon something like form Makita? It seems the latest Makita 6Ah still employ the 18650 cells.
First answer: Makita 6 amp are still the normal 18650 cells. We know Makita are working on new batteries because all their modern 18+ 18v tools have the batteries spaced apart to make room for future bigger batteries. The rumour is Makita ( and Milwaukee ) will be skipping 20700 cells and go for 21700 cells but when, and how…

Who makes what tool for who?
Question: It has come to light with a little digging that many tools you see are actually made by the very brands they are in competition with.Panasonic look very similar to Hilti don't theyThe Dewalt, Trend and Black and Decker routers of a few models look like twins…
First answer: TTI makes Milwaukee, Ridgid, Ryobi, and many people don't realize they also make most of the Craftsman power tools. It's an entirely plausible notion. Hand tool manufacturers re-brand stuff all the time. Wilde makes about every retaining ring plier stamped made in USA and sold under a number of brand names. There are…

First answer: The only thing I can think of if the battery isn't showing an error on the charger is that either the battery does have a fault and the charger is not noticing the problem, or there is an issue with the battery power contacts and the tool power contacts and they are not connecting thus giving no power. Dang sears is…

Made in USA
Question: So I'm sure this has been asked before, but is there a power tool company out there that isn't made or has materials made in China. With all this tariff stuff going on, I'm sure that everything made in China will increase in price. I'm invested in Milwaukee…
First answer: I’d say you’re probably hoping for too much. Pretty much everyone manufactures considerable amounts of their products in China because it’s flat-out the smartest way to go, and the tariffs aren’t at all likely to increase the production costs enough to change that equation.

First answer: Absolutely. I remember reading that something like 1/2 of all tool chests and boxes are Craftsman brand. Lowe's is going to benefit tremendously from this partnership, ESPECIALLY if they go back to making everything in the US. If they do, there's no doubt in my mind that they'll once again be the premier hand tool…
