I hope you sleep well at night playing all these games with people’s hearts LOL!
How come it’s taken soooo long
saw those pictures today. the thing looks really cool, also saw a bunch of new stuff. i am sure TIA will do a recap video when they get back.
They just put a short video of it on their instagram page also…

That’s a beautiful sight!
I didn’t even know TIA had an instagram page.
Now that is a must have. I love the framer it works great so I’m guessing that this one will to.
I’d hardly say it’s here, it’ll likely be months. I can’t wait to see some reviews of this unit, it’s pretty much my last missing dewalt necessity.

Technically, you answered BigMike’s question… Lol.
So, let’s reword it… WHEN is it coming out?
I think I saw on Facebook, it was coming out in October.

MAN!MAN!MAN! IM GONNA BE SO BROKE BY THE END OF THE YEAR……
DCN660…
[External image (cl.ly), not copied]
It looks awesome. Wonder how heavy it is because by the looks of it the housing/motor looks rather big. I thought they made major improvements in size?!
What about 15gauge and 18gauge?
1 kg lighter..
All good things comes to the ones that wait..
Cool. Thanks KWC.
You have to agree it would make sense to launch the finish nailers together.
Anyway, waiting for some good coverage from the DeWALT event. I’ve seen some pictures and man, it’s looking really good.
Did spot a green beam crossline laser on 12V 🙂
Looking at the pictures… Does it have 2 speeds like the DCN692???

Nope… Single…
Switch is for ‘Bump’ mode…
Looking at the two pictures of the nail gun, it looks like there are two LED lights. One on ether side of the switch on the top of the battery housing. Can ether DR99 or MR YELLOW or any one confirm this??

That is correct…
what are those lights for

They are for illuminating the ‘Nose piece’… Great touch if you are using it in a cupboard or somewhere in low light…
What do you think the chances are that Dewalt will wait for a few months after releasing this gun and then release one with 2 speeds like they did with the 1st fix gun????
No chance, I think. The framing nailer really benefits of 2 speeds because those are larger nails. I don’t really see the need for this on a finish nailer. Otherwise they would have done that from the get go as they have the tech. But that’s just my opinion which could be totally wrong 😀
I’m with Mr Yellow on this… Armed with the ‘end user’ information they now have from the First fix nail gun, then I’m sure they would have considered wether it was necessary or not..
Hope it hits Europe before the states like a lot of the new releases have
we should see this in a few weeks
I don’t see them putting out a 2 speed version. You need a lot more power to drive a framing nail compared to finish nails.
Dan and Eric just uploaded footage of them using the nailer and it looks awesome. I can’t wait for it to come out:}
Just watched the video, looks great. Was hoping we’d hear a rough release date.
Yeah that looks really good. No what?!?!?!?! Dewalt 16g or Ryobi 15g?
ya i am not sure why they made a 16 gauge angled every angled i have seen is 15 gauge. i really don’t like angled finish guns personally because its hard to find the right nails for them but that is just me.
That jam release…titties.
Dewalt is crushing my profit margin this year.
I wonder when we will see a 15g or 18g

I think this year is the closest we have come to hearing a release date so far, I could also have missed something
I just got “unofficial feed back from Dewalt Europe”:
… these guys never want to be quoted, always afraid of big brother watching: but the statement is somewhat reliable !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AUGUST 2015 / good news !!!
but then again also “bad news”
mitre saw only early 2016 !!!
That certainly sounds more promising than what my main dealer told me.
Just wondering why they were so convinced the model number would be different for the UK ??
yes, curious; I asssume a mistake/false info
meanwhile there are lots of new 20v max tools out; as well as 18V in Europe
I travel 3-4x to USA per year;
there is not a single cordless tool (except the batteries e.g. DCB204 DCB184) that has a different model number;
they are identical in “both worlds”
cheers
I can’t wait till this comes out and for Dan and Eric’ to get there hands on it for a proper T.I.A review and a comparison with the old xrp version dc618
Looking at their new pneumatic finish nailers with smartpoint technology I wonder why this hasn’t been passed onto the cordless one…

I think that’s next on their list.

Don’t even say it, it’ll take two more years for it to come out. >.>
