My DeWalt Tough System Collection

I have picked up a few more since this pic was taken (10 or 12)….lol

I have been able to pick up most at Home Depot for $13.03 for the 150 and $18.03 for the 400

€60 minimum in Ireland for any these. Nice collection

Some Home Depots have them on clearance……there is more about it at Garage Journal / Hot Deals / Home Depot

Home Depot has had them on clearance the past month or so. I never found any of the deals on the Dewalt Tough Boxes near me.

WOW!! I would’ve swiped the card for some more tough boxes at that price!!

Holy smokes 77 that’s an awesome deal! Really nice collection too. Your tools will never end up crapped on with that kind of protection either.

I not real good with links…

1) First find a local HD with the Tough Systems in stock and check the price

2) If they are on clearance buy them all

3) if they are still full price, print off the pic I posted and ask for a price match.

Online stock and in store stock is some times different so have the SKU number for the HD employee so they can check inventory of you.

I found 4 by looking in the rafters so it takes some time and effort.

Not sure ……that’s the pic from Garage Journal I was able to use for a price match. Check your local in store “Price App” and search for DeWalt and you may score a deal. Computer is located at the Pro desk and it is for customers to use.

That wasn’t my story. It was whoever posted it on Garage Journal. I just screen shot to share here.

I’ve stopped by four HD’s between yesterday and today. It’s a handy little tool. One woman said I wasn’t supposed to be on there but it was OK because she was there. Nobody else had a problem with it. One guy came up chatted about everything except what I was doing. Played with my son for a minute and left me alone.

So far, I haven’t been able to find many deals that were in stock. Everyone is sold out of everything on clearance. I found a tool box upper that was marked as clearance except it was still full price. I showed the department manager the screen shot from other stores showing it was $63 and he said he can’t do it.

I did find DeWalt air tool oil (rebranded bostitch) for $0.50 a bottle. Retails at $2.XX. I just don’t like HD. From my investigatory conversations, it appears that HD has weekly margin budgets that must effect their compensation. I’ve inquired about discounts on open items on Friday and was told to come back Monday as they’ve approached their “number” for the week. Lowes has a policy in place that the zone managers can mark things down to 10% of original MSRP before it flags in the system when they use their override card. Hence the reason why I have so many drills and batteries. I don’t think I have paid over 50% of list price for any of the combos as they were open items that people returned.

Good point Justin…. But I am having a hard time finding Home Depots that have them in stock for the clearance price of $18.03 for the DS400 and $13.03 for the DS150.

I’m so jealous, I think ipaid more for my tstaks than u did.

I bought some from Zoro at 30% off the I have been able to buy about 20 at the discount at 3 different stores.

It took a lot of work and time but I figured I saved about $1000 to buy for DeWalt tool with like the new cordless miter saw and the Toughsystem radio when it comes out….[emoji2]

Prices here in Canada are nowhere near that from what I’ve seen lol. I’ve been waiting to see if Milwaukee has any storage a up their sleeves for me this summer before I ramp up with more Tough System and start my TStak collection, but at those prices I woud definitely say “black and yellow it is!”

I am surprised that Milwaulkee has not…their new organizer is better then DeWalts IMO. The TSak was just too small for me and As you can see I love the tough System. [emoji13]

I still don’t know if your a DeWalt fan, better go buy more tools so I can figure it out   ;D

There was more DeWalt than Ridgid I was like seriously is this a joke because its not funny. I got so happy when I saw them but than found out the bad news :/

That is a sick deal!!!!! I have been to around 8 different HD stores by me and nothing! Every time I go in there is someone hogging the computer at the pro desk

There are lots of computers throughout the store you can use. Appliances… Mill works. I usually grab the one by customer service. It has a chair and everything. The customer service reps usually come chat and don’t ask any questions. While I am there, I also keep an eye on returns to see if anyone is returning anything I may want to buy.

Maybe someone returned them with plans on rebuying? If they were no home, they got put up in the rafters.

They were still in the cardboard box that DeWalt shipped them in….I was able to read the SKU on the box and they got them down….

I just wanted to add to your point of checking the instore computer. They maybe “hiding” right in front of your eyes.

That’s the problem with the boxes. I’d sell them but after shipping, it’s almost break even to buy them at retail or from someone else on sale.

My first set (5 or 6) I bought from FactoryAuthorizedOutlet.com and they were lost. I fought tooth and nail. Unfortunately, they have an agreement with UPS that UPS doesn’t offer any sort of guarantee on their packages. It’s up to them to “self insure” their shipments. Well, they gave me a BS offer to re-ship if I paid for shipping. And if I recall, it was pretty darn close to what I paid for the item with free shipping as I maximized a deal they ran. $25 off $75 purchase for something.

I was thinking about the cost of shipping would be more than the item. That sucks to hear about your shipment, UPS some how got one number of my address wrong and it was hell trying to get it. I called everyday they would tell me they can’t find the address and would put it back on the truck and try again tomorrow. I was home one day and they drove buy my house and kept going so I got in my car and pulled there butt over.
