INFO from TIA facebook page:

Reaxx – Bosch is announcing a new portable jobsite table saw, model GTS1041A. The new Reaxx saw is awesome, we first saw this at World of Concrete. What’s so special? Think of a sawstop, but 20 times better. You get Bosch performance, with a state of the art safety feature. If your finger touches the blade, the saw will instantly and save your finger. Best part, you dont have to spend hundreds of dollars to replace parts after the safety feature activates, plus no down time. All you do is replace a cartridge and go back to work. How cool is this. We will have a more in depth article on Tools in Action on Wednesday

Nice. I’ve been hearing about this coming out and would love to see it first hand.

Poisonfangs85Member since Feb 2015

I would love to see this in action and how it works. I was given a demonstration of the saw stop last summer and that thing was really cool, and scary as hell when activated.

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

They must have kept this under pretty tight wraps, I never heard a thing about it..

It’s about time someone else stepped into the market.

From one of the blogs I was reading about it this morning (I think coptool) they mentioned it would make its official debut at JLC later this week. I’ll be there and will try to take some pictures, video and even action video of it if they are demonstrating it

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

that would be pretty cool john.

dan and eric will release some information on wednesday about the saw

FrosBros82Member since Feb 2015

This thing would be awesome to have. Like stated above, I will be curious to see how much it is compared to Bosch’s regular table saw. It would definitely be something I would look into if the price is not too outrageous.

i gonna say it will run from 900-1300 bucks

This is a huge win for Bosch. I hope Sawstop feels the competition breathing down their necks. I haven’t like their lobbying for the Sawstop to be required on all saws. It should still be a choice. Nice to another other option coming out.

Madman are you eyeballing this saw.

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

The idea if anything will work its way into saws eventually.

I hope Sawstop is audited by the IRS.

Wait, did I say that out loud? I hate those pricks.

ScoszkoMember since Oct 2014

This is great news. I like the idea of the sawstop, but it is very expensive to purchase and also to replace when it is activated. I hope all tool companies are coming up with their own versions. There needs to be more competition with the “flesh detection” technology.

I am with you on that.  I have a jobsite saw now and would rather have a cabinet saw.

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

here we go guys – that how the saw looks like:

Poisonfangs85Member since Feb 2015

Looks like a really nice saw by itself, and the reaxx system is very interesting. Can’t wait for a TIA review.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Man looks badass!!

overanalyzeMember since Oct 2011

Looks like a great jobsite saw. Probably a good option if multiple skill level people would be using the saw.

yeah i was thinking the same….

DR99Member since Nov 2012

Even with multiple skill levels table saws like chain saws can bite just because. You could be doing everything safe and something strange happens. Thanks to the internet chainsaws kind of freak me out now 21 year old jason would use one with out even thinking twice.

when i run gas powered chainsaws then just with protection gear, those safety pants and boots….

during a seminar back in germany from the fire department, a chain broke and it ripped right into the safety pants. the person was lucky that he was wearing those safety pants otherwise with jeans, short pants or other pants it would be really nasty.

MSRP is US: $1,499 and CAN: $1,699. I’ll be passing.

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

but still better than sawstop – just change out the cartrige and you are ready to go

overanalyzeMember since Oct 2011

I am a bit surprised at the price point. I know they have a ton of R&D to pay for but it would seem you would want to beat the SawStop out of the gate…but I guess it is just MSRP so it could sell for lower.

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

Yeah.. it will probably sell for less… Right out of the gate I’m sure dealers will try to get full price from all the people who would buy it regardless of price and then when sales slow the discounts will start. I would be surprised if it’s selling for more than 1200 after a while on the market… at least I’m hopeful!

regopitMember since Feb 2013

Just saw this saw today at the JLC show Bosch rep said it will sell for $1450.00

Interesting they’d contradict what is listed on Bosch’s own webpage. Pretty much the same though, and IMO way WAY too much for me to consider.

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

I’ve got a video that should be up very shortly!! Stay tuned

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

i got a real look at the saw today and it seems very nice..   largely based on the bosch 4100..     it is around 78lbs saw only and i think the guy said around 130lbs with the stand.    the internals do seem quite beefy so im sure it it will hold up quite well to a discharge.

in the video you will notice that the saw actually misfires the first time he goes to make a cut   it fired when it hit the wood and not the hot dog.. maybe it was wet from the hot dog or something..   he seemed a little thrown off and surprised about it so it probably hadn’t happened to him before.  also these are obviously pre production models with the planned fall release so im sure they have some kinks to iron out

he fire it up a second time and it works excellent.    its amazing how fast you can change the cartridge and get back to work

enjoy guys

regopitMember since Feb 2013

Great Job NER

Poisonfangs85Member since Feb 2015

Great video John! I think the technology behind it is great. Much faster to swap these cartridges than the saw stop. What is the cost of the additional cartridges?

Ugh oo. Someone didn’t watch the whole video!! Haha. J/k. $99 for the two shot cartridge. So $50 per shot

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

Thanks guys!!

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

awesome vid John – like to see bosch items in action 😛

1499 msrp saw + stand. im pretty sure they will drop the price.

and 99 bucks for 2 shots cartridge. but after all its still cheaper than losing a finger including a hospital visit

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

i thing i would pull the trigger if bosch would release a reaxx cabinet saw

Guilty as charged! Lol I had a bit of a tool ADD spell and couldn’t wait to comment. Thank you for the info.

Or you could just buy a Gripper and a push stick for $50.00

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

shipping november – wow, drop some big bucks and then you gotta wait

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

if anyone were wanting to buy it I would wait a month or two after it releases. I’m sure that price will drop.

Thanks madman and bigmike!!

yeah i think so too

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

I can’t see that guy going for that price too long but I bet the price point won’t drop too too much. Nice that it doesn’t blast the mechanism allowing you to quickly use the saw again after you feed your hand into the blade. You know…..AFTER YOU TAKE A HUGE DUMP IN YOUR WORK PANTS!!!

i would prefer to take a dump in my own pants instead of splattering blood all over the shop and then passing out 😀

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

Hahahaha. yeah Chris, your right man!! Factor in an extra $60 for a new pair of undies and pants every time you set it off!!

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

I just saw the saw stop at woodcraft over the weekend $1299 for the contractor version.
