Unless Barret started boxing their rifles up in Powermatic boxes then I guess a fifty cal is out of the question.

I wish guys! 50 cal is right up my alley!!
I’m going to guess a jointer.
Hahaha!
Not only a jointer but a Powermatic 6″ with the Helical Cutter head!!!!!!!! OhhhhhhhhYeah!!!!!!!!!
Do we get a ChrisK unboxing video?!
I’d love to Jason, but that thing weighs a ton. I’ll try to put together something tomorrow. The base is out, I have to get some casters and make a rolling cart so I’ll inbox the actual unit and show what this beast looks linked. All 361 pounds of it!
Niceeeeee ChrisK,,, Unbox that Tiger and let’s take a look….
Congrats man, that thing is nice!

Thanks Kruton. I can’t wait to get this thing together plus the 15% off minus a few hundred tool dollars! And HELIX cutter head!!!!! Sweeeeeeeet
Congrats bro you’ve been a roll scoring some great tools my friend!!
Definitely a nice setup. You have a hell of a shop man, I’m jealous. Are you going to have to man handle that thing to the basement by yourself?chrisk wrote:

Damnnnnnnnn man. That’s a whole lot of sexy. Can’t wait to see her all setup
Well no video that thing weighed a ton. I had my buddy Guy come over to lift the jointer onto the body. I can’t believe I got it into the shop myself but t am paying for it right now! Not assembled yet, I coated the whole thing in T9 and will buff it off tomorrow and app,y Renaissance wax and she’ll be humming in no time!!!
I’m guessing a Powermatic 6″ jointer with the Helical Cutter head? Am I close? did I win something?
awesome chris there is a piece of wood out there that is special cause it will be the first piece of wood you get square with…..
I’ve got 60 board feet of flaming birch waiting to go in this baby!
Chris that baby is wicked awesome! When you go, you go all the way brotha! Another step closer to a happier retirement.
So….I’m stoked. I’m really, really stoked. This machine is a beast! The only adjustment needed was the fence was just a tiny bit off of 90 and was a piece of cake to adjust. The noise….I don’t need hearing protection. Absolutely awesome!
awesome video of an awesome jointer but do yourself a favor get yourself some push blocks that thing needs pressure down and in …..
Very cool chrisk u look like a very happy man using that awesome jointer.
Yup got the push blocks just didn’t use them on the video. Did do a face frame, the blocks work awesome. The jointer comes with two with the friction material. I might add a drop piece to act as an anchor when I pushe the stock through. Absolutely awesome machine!
That thing is awesome! The smile says it all, and it purrrrs like a kitten. Great addition to the shop
Nice Chris. How do you deal with sawdust in the basement? Do you vent it outside somehow? Nice buy.
Hey RC. I have a Grizzly air cleaner and two Festool HEPA units attached to most of the tools. The lathe and this guy will not be on DC. The jointer spits out chips so their is no dust associated with it. The lathe does have finer stuff but there’s not a lot of options out there. I’m actually going to have a small garbage can set up in front of the Powermatic to collect the chips as they fall out. When I move my shop into my planned outside shop next year hopefully, I will have a dedicated DC unit that will attach to all of my tools.
