Has anyone seen this Ridgid rolling tool cart yet? It looks promising!

“Customize your system with the other RIGID professional tool storage system components (sold separately)”

Looks like Ridgid may be coming out with a stackable storage system.

djslaterMember since Jan 2014

This looks pretty promising…good price, I’m guessing it will be decent quality…but there is no details other than the basic specs Home Depot has on there site…

I don’t even see this listed on the Rigid site as a product they sell/make. This will be a good one to follow. Thanks!

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I’m curious to see what other storage options they will offer down the road with this system.

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

Can’t believe Ridgid is gonna beat Milwaukee to the punch on this one.

KaHuNaZMember since Mar 2014

Nice!!!!!!! They put up 2 more boxes!  Id like to see what the boxes look like inside. That round one looks pretty cool (25in).

I’ve tried to find these on RIDGID’s web site no can do.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

No luck for me either Regopit.

JeremyJMember since Apr 2014

I like how the side handles are the stacking lock, nice design. I wonder how efficient the “tube” is? Maybe some locking lids on each half?

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I would prefer if it was Milwaukee but it looks like my modular storage system is going to be Ridgid. I can’t wait any longer. I was also looking at T-stacks too but putting my red tools in black and yellow boxes would hurt too much 🙂

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I think I could get my self pretty well organized with 2 of the carts and boxes and it wouldn’t be a huge investment.

JavierMember since Aug 2013

I’d buy it, if someone doesn’t soon I might get the tough system or t-staks

DR99Member since Nov 2012

The tough boxes are a really nice option I think I could get most of my tools on one cart. The only problem is the tough boxes are so pricey!!

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Yes they are DR!! Hopefully with the holiday season coming up they go down a couple of bucks…

JavierMember since Aug 2013

my local hd has a couple different tough boxes in stock to check out, the largest container I assume and a small case. I really like the small one for $50, its still a good size and comes with deep storage bins on the bottom and a secret compartment under the lid to hold other accessories like recip blades

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

I actually bought the small tough system box. It is NOT small! Plenty of,room for a couple of 18v guns, batteries and charger and the structural foam construction is super tough. Really impressed.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Really Javier my HD doesn’t carry them atleast since the last time iwas there about 2weeks ago I’ve only found them online

JavierMember since Aug 2013

Yeah they’ve been there for about a month now. I would like to see the I forgot what it was called maybe a cart to carry them. That and more of the boxes and even the t-staks

DR99Member since Nov 2012

Yea I just looked at HD’s webpage my local store is carrying some of the Tough Boxes in store. They don’t stock the cart in store or some of the other Tough Boxes though its only they basic ones. That cart is freaking expensive though its almost 200 dollars

JavierMember since Aug 2013

Wow that’s nuts. That’s too rich for a commoner like me

KaHuNaZMember since Mar 2014

Lookin gooood ridgid!

I was able to see the rolling box today at my home depot. It was still in its shipping box so I was not able to put my hands on it. I should be back there before the weekend

I just went to harbor freight and bought a hand truck and strap my tough boxes to it

Man I must have missed them with my wife pushing and rushing to the paint aisle :/ I will come up with an excuse to drop by this weekend 😉

BrienMember since Dec 2013

My HD just started carrying tough boxes too but I am interested in this ridgid design. Good find.

I though I saw a picture of your Toughboxes on one of the Tough box carts before Regiopig. I think for me I would go Tstacks. I think some one could make some nice cash figuring out how to some inserts for these storage boxes. The pick and pluck foam is just stupidly expensive.

Hey now “Regiopig ” I may be fat but but name calling is starting to push it  ;D

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I’m not doing much better in that regards either. Ahh the dang t and g keys have to be so close together.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Lol guys!!

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Geez DR…..sticky keyboard?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

DR99Member since Nov 2012

Nope this one is brand new haven’t “broken it in yet”

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

They Ridgid one is really nice. Same type of structural foam, the latch is a metal bar on either side and it looks solidly built. Plus like I said made in Israel and I happen to love those guys and gals. As far as HD Rochester NH….they have the small and large Dewalt tough system boxes but still NO TStaks yet! They also have the mounting bars and speaking first hand about the quality of the box….that thing is SOLID. I’m really impressed with it. The latches work great, the storage bins are nice plus the lid cavity is a really cool idea. I wish the small compartments had a better means of securement as they are cheap plastic and slide and click over a lip but they is really my only gripe. That and I only have one right now 🙂

regopitMember since Feb 2013

I had a chance to see the Ridgid rolling box over the weekend. It is a nice box but, it is smaller then the large box from DeWalt and the retractable handle seams a little flimsy to me. Also you lose space due to the wheel wells cut into the box.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Yeah the one I am referring to is a tools box not disimiliar to the Toughsystem small box. It is a little taller, somewhat narrow but really well built. I tried to attach a photo from my iphone but I have to resize it and can’t figure out how to!

try lowering the resolution when you take a picture on your phone and take a new picture. That should help
ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Thanks! $39.97

KaHuNaZMember since Mar 2014

None in my store yet. HD added more pics, so I edited this post with them. I like how you can lock the boxes together with that rod.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Yeah it actually looks like a really we’ll made box. I’m interested if there will be other types of boxes but the lock bar seems really solid.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I think this might be the option I go with its very affordable.  I will say Dewalt  Tstaks are still an option too they have some cool features, but they are not a cheap as the Ridgid boxes

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

DR have u checked out the rigids? I haven’t seen any upclose yet ive been way to tired from work man mayby this weekend I can stop by HD.

JavierMember since Aug 2013

I found the one Chris spotted at my local hd and for $29. It’s a nice box. Sturdy but not as sturdy as the tough boxes. I like the price and the size for $30 but the options are limited right now. On the sticker I only seen what looks to be 3 options. A smaller box, the one Chris took a pic of and an identical one but is a rolling stand with a handle

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Hey Javier, no rollers on this one and 10 bucks more than the one you found. I bet you have the compact, I have the middle and someone over in Indiana has the large one! Hahahahahahaha. Sounds like we each need to get one and meet in Mississippi for a beer.

JavierMember since Aug 2013

Mine has the 22 pro tool box which is the medium one you guys have Chris, I had to double check and my store seems to have messed up on the price. LOL theyre offering the medium for the price of the organizer small one. Thats 25% off without any effort, I’m gonna have to cash out on that deal. I’ll snap a pic next time im in there

Also BigMikeZ I know your in riverside but if you go to the hd in moreno valley they have all three in store if your interested, the rolling cart is a really good deal for $59 being the large box with the built in handle and wheels, that would cost a fortune on dewalts tough boxes having to buy a box and cart separately

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

I like the looks of these, especially the round one. However already well invested in the tstaks. But these are pretty cool. U probably half to jump over some hoops just to get the warranty though

BrienMember since Dec 2013

I think these Husky boxes might be a good option for some larger tools. They look well priced too.

They have a water/dust seal and a port for an electrical cord.

The big one is $59 at my Depot. Reg $64.

[External image (www.homedepot.com), not copied]

The thin one is $49.88.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Brien that looks nice what’s the price on them?

KaHuNaZMember since Mar 2014

that low profile husky box looks pretty awesome. I havent seen that one yet.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I saw the Ridgid at my Home Depot. Its a nice little unit The only downside is the lid is removable it doesn’t have a hinge to it. I was messing with it in the store and was getting frustrated on why wouldn’t it open.

djslaterMember since Jan 2014

Really? Removable lids??? Not sure if that’s crazy, terrible, or a genious idea…. lol, I guess I’ll have to see for a better judgement! Or maybe a TIA video???
