Don’t worry Nicholas, it’s well spent. I’ve found if you spend good hard earned money on good tools it’s worth it. And I really wanted to go too so I could comment on it. Sorry guys, no can do. I got an email today and was like “crap…Going to Florida :(“
I’m thinking about going. I registered looked in to a airline ticket $120.00 round trip so if I leave here 4:15am I can be back home by 9:30/10pm not bad for a day of tool info and fun.
I bet that the Festool connect is pretty informative. Hopefully Regopit gets to go and can give us an update.
Maybe they will have some sweet deals. I think it would be cool to go if I was more into woodworking.
Man I am really envious Regopit.I hope you have fun and get some cool swag! I am going down to Florida on the 17th to visit my parents so unfortunately can’t go. I think Norm Abrams will be there so if for anything else it should be pretty cool. I’m already scouting my next tool and am looking at the Domino. I can’t see getting a new router, I’ve got a PC and my Milwaukee and love them both but the demos they are advertising sound pretty sweet. All in all my investments so far with Festool has been phenomenal. I can’t get over how well the dust collection is. It blows my mind away and the quality is unbelievable.
Man I was a huge this Old House fan as a kid! That’s what I wound watch on Saturday mornings cartoons and then this old house or New Yankee workshop.
Yup me too and don’t forget this new house with Amy Matthews. Hubba hubba hubba 🙂
I love this Old House, DR plus the architecture on a lot of our houses up here is amazing.

That is one thing Festool didn’t sell in the states yet was a table saw. Regopit could shape a tool for years.
Well I made it here nice flight only 35 people on the plane. I think that the cab ride to and from the airport is going to cost me more then my flight here. Going to go check in.

Well you could buy it grey market you don’t have to worry about voltage differences on cordless tools along as you have a 110 charger for the usa.
That’s the coolest track saw I’ve ever seen. Hands down.

First off let me say if you have the chance to go to this event it is well worth it plus it gets you into the JLC live residential construction show. Here is the list of exhibitors http://ne.jlclive.com/Attendee/ExpoHall/PrintExhibitorList they also have clinics that start on Wednesday so I know that next year I will going for the whole show. The Festool connect is a free event but by attending it it gets you into JLC free also. They feed you well and have a nice after party and you get to see some really nice tools. As far as the focus group they asked us not to talk to any one about it all I can say about it is they are going to have a hard time getting to a price point that will make people want to buy it.

So they where replacing the dust bag after 5m of material, I’d still attach the vac if you’ve got one, then you have the problem of the vac not knowing when the tools cutting! So you’d have to manually turn it on. Bluetooth please festool!
That looks like an awesome event to attend. Is that the new Festool 18v drill?
It’s a PROTOOL they’ve rebranded and changed the colour, as there protool brand didn’t take off outside of Central Europe, I’ve had mine for 3yrs. Yes it is 18v 🙂DR99 wrote:

I would totally let ChrisK win the ultimate tool bag just the only rule is he would have to wear the included lifetime supply of Bosch Capri’s every day 24/7 for the rest of his like 🙂 That would be awesome 🙂 Kind of awesome and evil at the same time this tool bag is insane.

I was over at Face Book and the Festool track saw is all the buzz , but you got to see it here first.
Yea A Concord Carpenter posted a video of the cordless tracksaw. I really like that new 4 speed drill Festool has out already in Europe. I could never justify the cost to buy it though over a M18 Fuel though. Hope I win a giveaway for one 🙂
That multifunction drill is really sweet looking.myou know it’s a performer too. Too bad as usual it seems Europe gets the cool tools and hold on to them for so long 🙁

I was part of a focus group one. Well….actually I was focused by a group once. I still get the shakes after all that shock treatment 😉

Hey…did you guys ever see the original Fright Night? So I’m watching the video Regopit put on and I swear, Johannes (the dry wall sand dude) looks just like Evil Ed!!!! “Ohhh your Sooooo cool Brewster!” Right???? Imagine him as a vampire with the cross burnt on his forehead showing up to sand your drywall!!! Now I have to get that darn drywall sander! “You have to have Faith…for that to Work…..Misterrrr Vin-cent!!!” God help me. Now as I read this I realize I need help. 🙁
