They have a special screen protector looking thingy as well so you can replace it with new one when it gets too scratched!

I’ve been wanting to give something like this a try. I have looked at 3m and Trend options. I did not know DeWALT had one. The hearing Protection Screams Chinesium to me. I wish the cup to frame connecting was a different design. They might last 2/3 a mowing season if that before the cups and frame start to disconnect. I don’t think I will ever find something as good as the discontinued David Clarks I have.

This is a newly released tool by DeWALT in UK, and maybe in EU (?). I just shared it here for the guys that they are in DeWALT battery platform. I have sold most of my DeWALT tools as I don’t want to have Chinese made tools! Makita and Milwaukee are also in the same path. Currently I go for Bosch AmpShare tools and Metabo’s CAS tools as it gives me more options for buying European made tools.

Of the two brands I mentioned and the DeWALT, I probably would go DeWALT as it uses a common battery. Maybe production of some DeWALT stuff will move back to the states with the April 2nd happenings. I don’t know where Trend or 3M make their powered respirators. Hopefully outside the CCP. I haven’t boughten a DeWALT power tool in ages.

What I think about the April 2nd thingies going on is that Americans will pay more for Chinese made and European made goods and Europeans will pay more for the American made goods, all these nations will get poorer but their governments will get more rich! And I don’t see anyone talking about these things this way. It is a very simple logic to understand that if both sides are increasing the tariffs the winners are the governments not the people! But if it is really going to bring the production back to US at any cost I would support it! Production should not be concentrated only in China, which currently looks like 50% of the world production is in there.

About 3M I would not comment as I am not informed well about it, but Trend is a British brand and I know them very well, and when it comes to their 1/4″ E6.3 hex shank accessories I almost know everything! One of the things I don’t like about Trend is that they don’t say where they make their tools and none of their products have “Made in …..” stamped on them. I have called them a few times and asked the COO of their products and all of them ignoring these questions! They are aware of that this can help the users to guess the real producer of the products if they are not themselves! I have found out a lot about some of these producers myself though, there are two websites in UK and one in US that they mention COO for everything they have listed, Acmetools is the one in US, if there are other US websites doing this I don’t know as most of US websites started to not open in UK since a few years ago. Trend looks like to me that is a British brand only on paper and everything is produced by other companies, some British and some non British, for example their routers looks like to be made in the same plant that produces routers for DeWALT in Italy, they have the same case even. A lot of their 1/4″ hex shank accessories are made by Snappy in US, and some (Carbide versions) in Israel. Some of their 1/4″ hex shank products are made by a British brand called G&J Hall in UK  and they were getting their screwdriver bits from Wiha and Wekador. They are quite new in cordless power tools and the only cordless tool that is not a new tool is their respirator and was always pricey and is the only cordless Trend tool that looks to me to not be a Chinese made tool!
