Has anybody had a chance to get their hands on any of these? From what I have read they are comparing them to the Ridgid line. Reminds me of another yellow brand. Coming to a Lowes near you

Stanley Black and decker has plenty of brands, DeWalt Portercable, now this, black and decker, stanley. I wonder why they keep adding lines…

JethMember since Jun 2013

I agree they should focus on making better tools insted of more tools

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

I think the Bostich tools are mechanically identical to the PC line. Probably add lines to establish or circumvent exclusivity deals, etc.

RedSionnachMember since Aug 2013

Not only that, but it pulls in that extra fraction of market share for them.

I noticed some Bostich tools at Walmart last week.

firefighter4187Member since Mar 2013

Also saw Bostich mechanics tools at Walmart!

So many Stanley b&d brands and yet the very similar looking battery packs aren’t cross compatible, what a shame

Saw this in Wally world today. It actually looks pretty good. For 90 bucks, you get the orbital option and a 3 year warranty.

Damn If that was red and grey, i would think its a Milwaukee sawzall

Rob Robillard (Concord Carpenter) just did a review on the Drill/Driver and Impact. Its mistitled “Bistitch,” watching it right now. Not gonna post the link to infringe on the TIA guys.

Has anyone seen the power tools anywhere other than Walmart?

JavierMember since Aug 2013

Just took a gander at Walmart today and yes it has the bostitch tools. Nice addition because it never stocked even the Stanley fat max power tools before. Also has some Hitachi power tools. The older pod style battery pack cordless tools. Nicad and lithium versions.

NicholasShetleyMember since Nov 2013

I noticed that they had hitachi tools too.

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

Funny, my Walmart never carried Hitachi but did have the FatMax.

JavierMember since Aug 2013

Even Walmart has better tools than harbor freight

DR99Member since Nov 2012

But you can’t get an electric body saw at Walmart either. What the hell is a body saw in the first place?

Looks like a nice saw except I think even 90 bucks is too much for the Walmart shopper though.

NicholasShetleyMember since Nov 2013

A body saw is used to cut a body on an automobile. Basically a small sawzall/ jigsaw.

I used the Bostitch Rec the other day and for $90, its really nice.  It does have an adjustable shoe and the orbital action which works great.  The drill and Impact, I am not a huge fan of.  They will do what they are intended to do.  The grip is nice and I agree, about PC.  Not sure if they are coming off the same line because you can see a lot of the same things between the two.  No fuel status for the batteries, plus as of now, these are the only two cordless tools in the line.  Impact is pretty slow or at least it seems slow.  I am not sure if I would compare them to Ridgid, I think more Kobalt.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

That’s the one thing that kind of annoys me with the Fuel sawzall it’s a premium recip it should have an orbital function.

Eric – TIAMember since Jan 2010

Agree 100%.  But I guess they are saving that so they can introduce another model down the road or at least that’s what i think.

Conductor562Member since Nov 2011

One of my complaints with my pre-fuel sawzall is that the receiver and the entire mechanism really, is enclosed within the tool making lubrication extremely difficult without making a big mess.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

You know Conductor, I have had my Milwaukee M18 Sawzall and that is honestly the only Milwaukee tool I own that I don’t like. I never should’ve bought it. No adjustable shoe, sealed like you said and it sucks juice so quick the battery kibbies out in just a few short minutes. The batteries are fine so it has to be the tool. I had an adjustable Ridgid Recip that had orbital and everything but I HAD to change. Chuckle head…

lucky they brought out the FUEL version, or you guys might have needed a black and yellow one 😛 Love the Dewalt recip.

I’ve had 5 of them. They’re junk! All they do is shake the work piece to shit and not cut it. I will never buy another one unless it’s from team red.

Funny, Mine seems to work just fine and cuts like a mad man… Learn to use your tools first before you use it 😀
