  1. Nice tools for a good buck, not everyone needs a top of the line saw, this lime green bad boy is a great option for the weekend warrior and occasional user. #TIACrEW

  2. Just got a new Ridgid saw that seems somewhat comparable. The stand on the Ridgid is really slick though, and I think it might make a difference to have a good stand whether you’re moving it around a lot, or just for better storage if you’re a homeowner with limited space.

  3. Thanks for that, purchased a makita saw but took it back because fence was useless, didn’t lock both sides. Thinking that as I’m not a tradie this might be a better option. Only issue is in nz Ryobi doesn’t have a good name.

  4. Does anyone know how to remove the riving knife from this saw? I have bought one and am making a cross-cut sledge for it. The design of the sledge has to be a bit larger to accommodate the knife at the back and there are some operations such as raising the saw gradually to produce a slit in the middle of a sheet which you can’t do with the knife in place. The knife looks as if it is captive in the mounting, so you can raise and lower it but not remove it.

  5. The riving knife has two hooks to capture saw guard and anti-kickback. There’s a small lever at the rear of the guard that locks it onto the riving knife. Just looked at the Ryobi 10″ table saw with rolling stand for $229.00 at Home Depot today. Really impressed with the fence and being able to roll it where-ever and store it out of the way when not needed. I’m not getting any younger and carrying it far would tax me even as light as it is.

  6. I have a 10” ryobi table saw that came with a fixed stand. I saw someone was selling the quickstand for $20 on craigslist. I figured it would fit it since it was a 10 inch saw, so I bought it, only to find out it didn’t fit.

Anyone know of anyway to make this stand work with a different saw, or an I SOL?
