Thanks Jimbo for posting, I picked up the knipex and instead of the speed bores I wound up getting a set of 8 self feed Dewalt bits from acme tools. I will test them out and see if they are any good.

Killer deal on these CLE Cobalt jobbers, 135 degree, $88.77 for a $200 drill bit set. It is Amazon Warehouse, marked as “Used” with minor cosmetic damage. In my experience, this item will probably be new with damaged packaging, maybe a dent on the metal case. I doubt the bits have been used but Amazon will accept a return and pay for return shipping if you are unhappy. I’d buy them if I wasn’t totally broke at the moment, hope someone here snags this deal.

Yeah, I figured you and Protool wouldn’t jump on these after picking up such a nice sets. I was hoping they’d be gone by the time I logged back in because I’m strongly considering buying them. UGH!

I do have $25 in CC reward points I can use…hmmm

I have to ask, what are aircraft drill bits and why are they size A -Z instead if imperial or metric ?

I don’t know about aircraft bits, but A-Z bits are the larger end of gauge measurement of drill bits which is there so you need three sets of drill bits.  There’s also the number set which is smaller than the letter set so what’s called a full letter set has 107,106…4,3,2,1,A,B,C,…Y,Z.  These are typically used in a machine shop because they correspond better to tap sizes.

Nice deal! I haven’t really been watching these because I need the wrench too and I don’t really need them.

Do we REALLY need most of our amazon finds? Lol I try to post just the damaged packaging stuff since it’s always brand new, who cares if the box is ripped them cobalt drill bits I bought were in touched.

Agreed, and I love that about Amazon warehouse…and if the packaging did cause an issue Amazon will make it right. My worst buy was a Gearwrench 3/8″ 120XP ratchet for $20, I received a Husky in Gearwrench packaging. Obviously someone bought the Gearwrench and replaced it with a Husky and returned it to Amazon…The quick release sucked. Complained to Amazon and they gave me a full refund and let me keep the Husky, which I gave away.

Speaking of Amazon warehouse. I was browsing the stock of that B&D seller above after I posted and saw BD 4.0 Ah batteries for $13, so I bought a couple. I need them for my B&D trimmer, it’s a pain in the ass with the 2.0s I have now. Then I found an Amazon Warehouse deal on the B&D Autosense for $19 so I figured what the hell…but I also previously bought the $16 B&D kit. So I basically have B&D coming out of my ears if this stuff ships. I think the drills are just going to end up on CL or FB sale groups.

California Air Tools 4.6 gallon Ultra Quiet air compressor, this is the same compressor that was rebranded as Husky that we were picking up for $100. Currently that Husky is down to $45 at Home Depot but they’re nearly impossible to find at this point but the CAT has just dropped from $250ish to $106 but I don’t imagine it will last long: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00889ZYQ0

Yup! I have heard this is popping up sporadically, so if you missed the deal you may want to keep rechecking for the next couple of days.

That’s a great price for that unit. Hopefully someone on here will pick one up and score a sick deal.

Really thinking about picking up the drill driver and impact for those tight spaces

I’m really thinking about it, but I’ve got a really nice, made in the USA, excelite nutdriver/hexdriver set that I just don’t use much already.

BMack37Member since Sep 2015

I really like my Gearwrench ratcheting nut driver set. I find it more convenient than regular nut drivers to use. I guess if I had the nut drivers in a rack, that might be different. Plus I love the Gearwrench ratcheting driver handle, it has a great texture and works so smoothly(specifically the stubby, the larger one is a bit bulky for my liking). They are still just nut drivers but it gives you a bit more flexibility when used in addition to sockets.

This is also the same as the other drivers so it just accepts square 1/4″ male, so you can get additional shanks to use your sockets or bits. If you have one of the other Geardriver kits, this is definitely a nice addition. BUT again, they’re nut drivers so it will be limited use.

$37 vs $42 new. Not really a must buy bargain at that delta.

BMack37Member since Sep 2015

Someone thought the $34.81 price was a must buy because it’s gone now, haha
