great tools BK – how much was the angle grinder?

Poisonfangs85Member since Feb 2015

Nice little spree you went on there. I need to go scratch my itch at the store tomorrow.

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

That fein grinder looks sweet!!!

comp56Member since Sep 2014

$70 or so. Screaming deal, but it appears that I got the last one…

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Nice deal BK!

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

70 is pretty good

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

they are normal double of the price right?!

4-1/2″ for 99 and 5″ for 150 or so

BK13Member since Nov 2013

Yeah, something like that. I think Fein might be updating their line, so CPO is blowing out the old stuff. I already have a couple of 4-1/2″ grinders (and a 4″), so I didn’t check the price on those.

Still want to get a Metabo grinder, though…

madman_usMember since Sep 2014

What you want with all those grinders? ??

BK13Member since Nov 2013

Flap disc on a couple, cutting wheel on one, grinder wheel on one.

comp56Member since Sep 2014

madman_us wrote:

that sounded like my wife there for a sec…….

Poisonfangs85Member since Feb 2015

Just a quick pick me up. Bout the knife and screwdrivers for the wife’s tool bag, she didn’t want them oh well more for me. Should have bought her the Milwaukee 8-piece set!

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Any buy is a good buy dude! Plus clamps NEVER get old!

Poisonfangs85Member since Feb 2015

Chris, I blame you for my new obsession with getting more clamps. I didn’t even need any more…that was until I saw your Dewalt XL’s. I’m starting small with the minis, but looking forward to adding more to the rack.

My wifes favorite is “and what do we need that for”.  Like she is going to be using it.

ahh.. the old buying tools for the wife trick!!   works every time 🙂

nice tools man

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

Here was a little buy from last night. I was burning some time in HF while the wife was doing her shopping in the same plaza
I’ve been wanting a set of these and was looking at much more expensive ones online.. these look like they should do the job just fine. The multimeter and tape measure were free. The organizers ended up only being $8 each set! They were on sale and 20% coupon off each. So all this for like $17 out the door!!

She said she wanted a little kit for around the house, you know tightening cabinet knobs and what not. Like I said oh well lol…I wonder if she would like a few Dewalt Tough boxes?

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Don’t laugh, my wife GLADLY took one of my prized l BOXXES with inserts for her stamping up stuff!!!!! Now I’ve got a Bosch l boxx going to stamping up meetings. I’m going to get my butt kicked if anybody sees this.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

Hahahahahahahahahahahah screw dem’ be-hotches yo..down in da hood (you know, the eastern part of New Hampshire where you can hit a deer in the middle of the road at 7am) that’s how we roll. The guys over there would have a fit if they saw my Ryobi Airstrike mailers in a Systainer! Ohhhhhhh and a Milwaukee assortment in there too???? Gasp 😉

Poisonfangs85Member since Feb 2015

When she rolls into a stampin’ up party everyone looks at her in slow motion and whispers to each other, and the background music is “Like a BOSS!” Lol

chadlanthierMember since Mar 2013

Well Chris it’s better than Barbie dolls.

They are great so far. I put them to work right away. We will see how they hold up over time but right now I’m happy with them.

BK13Member since Nov 2013

Cool, man, thanks.

Mr. YellowMember since Jan 2011

Got these last week. I knew Bessey is good stuff. Have a couple of their KliKlamps that I use with router jigs.

Now I want to get a set of good clamps. I like leverclamps so that’s what I got. And boy are they nice. Not cheap, but it won’t get any better than Bessey. Got me 4 of these to try. I really like them. More to come when my wallet agrees 😉

And ordered these over the weekend. Can’t wait to try that little plane. It’s from Rali. A Swiss brand that I haven’t heard of before. Saw the shop was carrying these and did some digging.

They have some nice planes. This is the 105 N Evolution.

What’s so nice is that they are very easy to adjust with that red lever. Now I want their other planes as well.
It never stops…

Those Besseys look a lot like my Festool quick clamps. Those are awesome! I haven’t seen them here in the US thus far.

Mr. YellowMember since Jan 2011

I think the Festools are rebranded Besseys. They are great clamps indeed!

NERemodelingMember since Aug 2014

Nice set of tools!! Yeah, the festool quick clamps are indeed rebranded besseys. The only difference is the shape of the fixed part of the jaw.. the festooned is narrower so it will fit in t-track..

That thin bevel gage looks nice, how big is that? And that plane looks sweek too.. it looks nice and compact, perfect to keep in the tool bag for little touch ups and detail work.

Mr. YellowMember since Jan 2011

That bevel gauge is from Shinwa. It’s 250mm. It’s no Bridge City/Woodpeckers, but it’s nice and for a decent price.

Yeah, that plane was something I found at that online shop. Was browsing a bit and found some Rali planes.

I really need a better one. My current plane is a piece of shit. It’s a crime to adjust and the blade never stays in place.

This one is very easy to adjust. Exactly, for little touch ups and small work.

And they work with replaceble blades. Perfect for me.

I wouldn’t mind some of their other planes as well…

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

I’m thinking it’s the ROS65VCL that I got for a KILER deal!
