I don’t really like the direction Big Red is taking with storage. Small footprint with modular capabilities is where it’s at, and that market is fairly saturated.

I agree. I just shelled out some coin on a Systainer, and some kaizen foam for my new Mid Torque 2861 that won’t arrive till march! Could have gotten it sooner, but my local supply house ordered it in for me. No biggie, as I don’t see myself needing it this week, and I’m going on a week long cruise next Sunday. I thought about hacking up another Milwaukee parts organizer and putting kaizen foam in it, but the Systainer I’m using for the hole hawg is so compact, and as I won’t be using the 2861 every day, I like that it’ll lock into my Systainer stack in the van shelf.

I hear ya @NicolasRamos, my home workshop is stored in ToughSystem boxes and everything is compartmentalized with accessories. Makes setup and teardown a breeze. If I was to work out of blow molded cases as a pile of randomly sized Milwaukee boxes and bags I’d tear my hair out. The only Systainers I have are for Pro5s but the same is true of them; tool and accessories, easily stored and easily accessible.

U have a link for the systainer ur using for the hole hawg? I’m looking for a good hard case, I don’t like having bags piled up

Systainer T-Loc II Anthracite
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GQZJR3Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_7EAQyb9K3EGKX
I went overboard and ordered the carmine red handle and latches and it just looks so sexy. https://instagram.com/p/BLvq1BAB2eM/
I’ve since removed the cutout kaizen foam, and only left the bottom 20mm layer as cushion. I like it better the current way as I can carry my favorite 7″ Bosch daredevil augers in their tubes in the sustainer. Also I added a belt hookto the hole hawg, and it wouldn’t fit the way I had it oriented in the picture above. I’ll get a shot of the current setup in a bit.

New hand tools, socket set:
..
Hammers etc
..
Those Chinese knockoff Ti-bones look interesting and the asymmetrical claw on the hammers seem potentially advantageous as well. My interest is piqued. Ratchet and socket wise…there are too many options that I predict will be more appealing through some combination of quality, price, and country of origin that I predict these sockets will fall flat for me.
Wow milwaukee hammers didn’t see that one coming:mellow: was expecting FUEL M36 18.0 amp zero turn mower, maybe FUEL M36 chain saw maybe even circular saw? lol now i’m just tossing tools out that I want to see. 😀

That’s by 2022. And also they’ll probably skip all the way to M80 for cool factor!

Yes but what I meant wan an X2 M18 battery system.
Adding both m18’s together get M36.
M56. 2x M28: sales of those batteries are stagnant, the line needs a shot in the arm lol.

anyone think Milwaukee will revamp the m28 line or just let it die?
Magic 8 ball, will M28 come back from the dead? “Outlook not so good”.
Putting out the SDS Fuel M28 overseas seemed like it was coming back a year or two ago but it turns out that was the Jokers at Milwaukee roleplaying Weekend at Bernies with M28s corpse.

Not just overseas. It’s an M28 version of the M18 2715.
Weekend at Bernies 2! Thanks for pointing that out ?
I’m pretty sure the M28 line is dead for the most part. Sill don’t know now why Milwaukee did M28 versions of the Fuel SDS but the did
The 24″ hardtop out and about.
Hmm a major flaw with this which I count on my Ridgid boxes to do…. A bungee??

So glad I didn’t wait for Milwaukee storage when they teased it years back.

Yea defiantly not impressed with anything Milwaukee has done with storage.

Each of the individual pieces that they’ve come out with are generally well made and functional, but none of them work or even really fit together. It boggles the mind that the toolboxes, rolling bags, parts organizers are all different sizes and shapes and aren’t part of a RedBOXX ™ system.

They’re all in on the 18v platform, most likely she’s a goner, although it was pretty funny when bozo tools released on his page new m28 tools ha ha

I could see m28 replacing high demand m18 tools if they come back.
Seriously? After 1.5 years of “F-f-fullllll compatibility! One Platform!” marketing (as they manufacture new parts and rerelease a light so they aren’t liars) you think they’d follow FlexVolt’s lead? The outcry of “damn you Dewalt and your 50 battery platforms” has been very vocal. I don’t think they’d do that having just released so many tools touting the HD9.0. Dewalt’s Oprah/Ellen strategy for OPE is dumb and I wouldn’t want to see Milwaukee follow their lead. “You get a trimmer, and you get a trimmer, and FlexVolt you get a trimmer!”

I definitely don’t want to see a resurgence of the m28 because I’m just getting invested in the m18 lineup. I would hate to have a 3rd battery to have to keep up with. (M12 and m18) I would like to see an option for two battery 36v high demand tools. The 9ah is great but more power with two would be a nice upgrade. Even if they made them run on one with the current power or two with more.

Hey look their M28 fuel hammer drill is at home depot they might not be in stock but it shows some progress.
About as much progress as Dewalt putting a laser in the 12v Max family. “See! We still invest in the line! It’s not dead!”
m28 to m18 adapter could work but I’m not a big fan of adapters

They should definitely do that, Dewalt should too. They could make an adapter and kill the 40V batteries.

Here’s your options
M18 Fuel SDS max rotary hammer
- POWERSTATE brushless motor: provides 5 ft. lbs. of impact energy, 0-450 RPM and 0-3,000 BPM
And The other option
M28 Fuel Rotary hammer
POWERSTATE brushless motor: provides 3.5 ft. lbs. of impact energy, 0-1,350 RPM and 0-5,000 BPM
The M28 does lack in Impact energy but it is abundant in RPM and BPM…

Concrete isn’t always about speed though, that’s why your higher end hammers have lower rpm and bpm but hit harder

From first blush, it looks like a great stand alone rolling toolbag, the top can take 250 pounds, that’s pretty good, but that ship has sailed, Milwaukee’s new ones are the Myspace of toolboxes

It looks like it would be useful but at $200 it’s not coming to my house unless Milwaukee sends me one. I already overpaid for their tech bag because I thought it would be useful I’m not paying double the cost of it for this.

I thought about getting the tech bag but never did. When I ordered my Milwaukee 1/2″ sockets, my friend who is the manager of a local supply house told me that they had a promo for Milwaukee tool bags. Purchase $75 of handtools, and choose between the electricians belt, tech bag, and the backpack. I was already displeased with the backpack and sparky’s belt for my needs, so I chose the Tech bag. I’ll probably give it an overview, but it’s going to my helper.

I think my first impression was it looks nice and all but not for me, and that’s the extent of my inspection, MAINLY since I have high expectations with my Veto bags, it all kind of pales in comparison.
I get it, Milwaukee is really trying to keep things new and fresh and coming out with things so it’s going to happen that not everything is a homerun, but they are putting themselves out there, so of course there’s going to be criticism, from myself included. facts of life
