I actually love that level. Unfortunately I left mine at a relatives new house attached to the tv mount I put up when they pissed me off while helping them move and I am no longer on speaking terms with them so I’ll never see it again.

Here’s a few minor releases from Milwaukee that’s not exactly the forefront of what you might see

I actually bought a few things….

The new plumber’s level is awesome!!

The Empire level I bought as well to compare, it will play second fiddle to the Milwaukee though…..

Love the enormous vial, the strong magnets and the compact but sturdy design. I had the previous level which I wholly disliked, but kept using it just because i kept putting off getting a new one.

If anyone didn’t already know – Milwaukee now owns the Empire level company. There products should now be very similar in construction. I love Milwaukee but I think they could lower there pricing on the levels a tad.

It’s supposed to be for reaming out pipes.

Reaming the ends of your pipe. It was useless

Yea I only have milwaukee, dewalt, and bosch cordless so until now bosch was my only option.  I hade debated a m12 rotary tool too but for what I need it for I just wasn’t sure how it would perform.  They aren’t a tool I would use everyday but sometimes I have to grind a weld that a regular grinder just can’t reach.  Usually a square corner that a 4″ round disc can’t get in.

M12 rotary rocks dude but I wouldn’t use it to replace a full sized die grinder

I am soooo buying this. Working in apartments I use a toilet auger weekly. Will be interesting to see how it breaks down for cleaning and cable replacement. I keep my current auger in a yard waste bag because it doesn’t easily disassemble for cleaning and tends to stink. The Ridgid ones last me about a year.

Anyone heard any rumors of a new wet/dry vac to replace the 0880-20??? I know they just put out the “teapot”, so I’m hoping for a little bigger, maybe 3 gallon, brushless, wet/dry vac.

Nothing and I’m kind of annoyed by it. I want to buy like a bad ass brushless version. I think what will happen is I will buy it and the next month Milwaukee will announce the new one. I also wish it went on sale

I’m also wondering when their collated drywall screwgun attachment is going to be available to buy?

Can’t wait for that to come out, kind of silly to release the gun without the auto collet

I never really liked lockback knives.  I’m always afraid that I’ll push the lock when I’m pushing down hard to cut something.  A while ago, I had a Kobalt utility knife that had the blade release button right on the back of the blade and it was really dangerous as the blade kept popping out.

justinkendallMember since Dec 2016

Not a fan. I’m so use to using a thumb stud and one hand to open and close a knife that this would be pretty annoying.

Could be something as simple as having a plastic chuck. The only non metal chuck Milwaukee offers in NA is the right angle m18 drill.

I’m completely unfamiliar with lockback knives, never heard that term before.. I guess it’s like an old school pocket knife? Something Grandpa would have in his pocket to cut twine off bales of hay.

An interesting little tidbit from Stuart:

Quote

Deployment is done via nail nick, which means two-handed opening. (You should always be aware of your local knife laws and regulations.)

I wonder if the absence of a thumb stud is to cut down on unneeded added costs, or to purposefully make this a slower-opening knife.

Does that mean it can be sold in NY and other areas? Home Depot says that they cannot ship the FastBack knife to AK,GU,HI,NY,PR,VI, presumably because of the button release and one-handed wrist-flick opening. They don’t the same about the Hardline.

I’m not familiar with it either. The was the first time I’ve heard it. I’m use to seeing linerlock for this style knife. This is basically what I think of when I hear it.

Nice I have a Buck very similar to this and I guess it falls into the lockback style of knives?

Although not on the horizon just yet, Milwaukee may have a cordless compressor out before too long. Ridgid has made one that can use one or two batteries, is one gallon and has a max psi of 125.

Fingers crossed……

Interesting. I wonder how fast it fills up the tank? What size tank is the Ridgid?

I can’t find any mention of it on their website.  I did find a new 7/8″ SDS rotary hammer, but no compressor.  Perhaps it was a trade show preview sort of thing.

Alright milwaukee, it’s early February, where do I get my 2860 impact wrench haha.

Does anyone know if they’ve been released anywhere?  I see on the HD site they have user reviews, I assume they’re early release people because you still can’t order them online.  Acme says you can pre order but estimates ship date isn’t until the 22nd.  I’d be more than happy to pre order if it meant getting it sooner but I don’t want to pre order at the wrong place and end up having to wait longer.

They’re not out yet. Milwaukee is sending them out for people to review already. Mechanical Hub got two yesterday. Kinda hoping one shows up on my doorstep in the next few days.

Since they’re not being sold at an “incredibly low price” you can probably pre-order and not end up waiting forever like those of us that ordered the Festool sanders from everywhere or anything Flexvolt from CPO.

Awesome, you’ll have the let us know how it works out! I asked my usual source today for a date and price but was told they asked Milwaukee about it today and haven’t heard back yet.

I definitely will. I’ll be doing extensive torque testing with it. We have a 3/4 drive torque wrench that can go up to 600 ft pounds. My grandpa is also ordering an independent front end setup for his 39 ford and I guarantee it will get used putting it together.

BiggieMember since Oct 2016

Doesn’t show much but it’s the first video I’ve seen.

BiggieMember since Oct 2016

Found this one as well.  We have to be getting close to it being released.

BiggieMember since Oct 2016

Kind of funny at the end of the milwaukee video it says up to 2″ shorter and up to 1.5 lbs lighter.  Then says up to 4″ shorter and up to 2 lbs lighter.  I assume they’re comparing it to two different impacts but doesn’t up to 4″ and up to 2lbs cover 2″ and 1.5″.  It’s a little redundant, kind of like weather man talk up to 4-6″ inches of snow when they could just say up to 6″ of snow.

BremonMember since Dec 2014

Pictures of that have been around a long time. At this point it’s for adding brains to no-key press tools I believe. Probably similar potential to the unexplained yellow knock off that was revealed this week.

Oh lol, I guess ive been 1 mile behind all along… 😀

BremonMember since Dec 2014

Lol I wouldn’t say that @Milwaukee_man_stan, plus when things get brought up again we have more to talk about. Not quite enough tool releases to keep this place hopping all the time 😆
