The WORX SD to some is a gimmick and to some it is a great tool. The fact that it looks and slides like a barrel on a gun gives it that gimmick factor, but yet it works so awesome. It is the first screwdriver that includes an automatic bit changer that actually works and works well. For odds and ends around the house this screw driver is great. Load it with your favorite bits and they are always read to go and stay with the tool.
The engineering of the tool is great and it works as advertised. It comes with 2 cartridges with a variety of your most popular household bits. It even has a pilot hole drill bit, you can put your own bits in. It is a six shooter in old west talk, which means it holds 6 bits. You can also manually rotate the barrel to the bit you want . An LED light on the front helps in low light conditions.
The 4v MAX lithium Ion battery is what you would expect from a tool in this class. It is great for homeowners because it holds a charge even when sitting for up to 18 months. Charge time is around 3 hours. The tool has good torque and no variable speed option, it is either on or off via the trigger It reverses and locks like a normal pistol grip drill. It comes with a 3 year warranty and overall I like the WORX SD. For small quick jobs it is always ready to go no matter what bit is needed. It makes a great Christmas present, check out WORX
