Milwaukee is making a name in the hand tool market with their large product line.  In the past we have checked out a wide variety of screwdrivers, check out our Milwaukee Screwdriver Review and the Milwaukee 11 in 1 Driver Review.  I think they have come a long way over the years with innovation and premium hand tools.  However, these new screwdrivers are the best of the best in the Milwaukee screwdriver line up.  So let’s take a look at the Milwaukee Cushion Grip Screwdriver Review.

When I think of cushion, I think of something soft.  These handles aren’t soft, but they are some of the most comfortable screwdrivers I have used.  The rubber over-mold with the ribs not only feel great when working with them but also provide grip to help with your leverage.

On the side of the screwdriver, a user can clearly see the type of tip on that screwdriver.

On the end of the screwdriver, you can also identify which screwdriver tip is on that tool.  This is very helpful when you’re reaching into a bag or your tool belt grabbing for a screwdriver.

You can also notice some plus signs indented around the head of the screwdriver.  This helps the user identify the type of screwdriver without looking.  For the flathead screwdriver, there is a ring around the head.

Milwaukee also built in a lanyard hole for those tradesmen who need this for their work.

There is a hard plastic where the screwdriver shaft and the handle meet.  This reminds me a little bit of a Klein screwdriver.

Milwaukee designed these screwdrivers with a very clever shaft.   Right where the shaft meets the handle, a user can use a wrench or monkey wrench to create extra force when loosening a fastener.  Pretty cool and creative way to help get more leverage for certain jobs.

The tips are custom machined which gives them a better fit into the fastener.  This helps prevent cam-out.

The hardened tips do feel like they have a great fit into the fastener head.  We tried it with all the different heads and each one seems like it has a nice tight fit.

I love the wrench torsion area for leverage.  Not that you will use it all the time, but when you do need it, it’s nice to know you have that option.

Milwaukee Cushion Grip Screwdriver Review Value

For the 6 piece cushion grip Milwaukee screwdriver set, you will pay about $40 at The Home Depot.  I think this is a great value for the quality of the tool.  I have seen other high-quality sets sell for about $20 more.  Sure you can get sets for cheaper, but that’s what you get, cheap.

$40 is a good deal for anyone looking for a high quality and comfortable screwdriver set.

Milwaukee Screwdriver Review Final Thoughts

Milwaukee did a great job when they designed the cushion grip screwdrivers.  While I love the precision and toughness of these screwdrivers, what really stands out is how comfortable they are.  Milwaukee priced them for a reasonable price and with a lifetime warranty, it’s hard to go wrong.

  1. I must say that they look just like every other old fashioned screwdriver that I have ever seen. I do wonder if maybe Milwaukee are bringing out some tools just so thay can say they are innovaters in the field. To me these are not innovative, they are old technology.

    • Hi Rick, I am not 100% sure on those items. Milwaukee is launching a massive line of hand tools in the coming months that will be a pretty extensive line. Some are already in Home Depot stores but I expect more will be popping up soon.

      • These are good drivers so I ordered some singles to fill out my 6-piece set. But I couldn’t wait on the torx and nut drivers so I went with Bondhus.
