So the Bosch kit showed up today. I haven’t got any pics yet but will put some up tomorrow. First I want to thank Dan and Eric for everything they do for the crew. You guys are awesome. Second thank you to the crew. Everyone on here is great and the reason I enjoy the forum so much. There are great topics, comments and opinions from everyone. I really like how discussions always seem to remain civil even though there are disagreements. I guess a thank you to Bosch is in order as well. My kids were as excited as I was to open things up and put the new tools in the toolbox! I’ll get some pics up tomorrow. Thanks again guys!

Definitely is a great kit. My brother asked me what i am going to do with my makita drill, impact and brushless circ saw since I got this kit! I told him dont even think about it.

So for now the Makitas are being borrowed by my brother but when they get back I am going to need to upgrade the old Craftsman box. The last picture above is where I decided to see how sharp my new knife was and cut out the pictures on the box. They turned out pretty good so I stuck some magnets on the back and voila toolbox swag!

[External image (images.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied]I just got this today so I thought why not throw in a pic too. My first Tekton tool, 3/8 drive stubby. Nice quality so far just after initial inspection. Going to try it out this weekend.

I just want to thank everyone again. The few times I have used these so far they are great tools. Looking forward to several more years of use.

Thanks Jimbo. There are guys with a lot more and a lot better tools than I have but I try to take really good care of what I have. I am pretty particular about keeping them in good shape.

I ordered an 18v bosch impact driver to go with this set. Should be in tomorrow or Friday. I’ll update the family pic when it comes in!

I’ve only got 5 or 6 cuts in on a 4 x 4 but I am really impressed so far. The only other cordless circular I can compare it to is my brushless Makita. Honestly for what I will be using them for there isn’t much of a difference for me. I generally use them for cutting 2×4’s and both saws sail through those like they aren’t even there. I still like to use my gear saw for ripping sheets of plywood but I might try the cordless saws out next time just to see how they do.

This particular giveaway was just a one time thing to get people involved with the forum so that is why there was a minimum post count. I think the next big giveaway is the Ultimate Toolbag Giveaway around Christmas. It is more of an overall contribution and interaction on all of the TIA platforms. However, it is completely possible Dan and Eric will throw together some other giveaways here and there.
