JronmanMember since May 2016

also does the new 2 in sds have a hollow core chisel???

JronmanMember since May 2016

also there is now a van specific tough system rack. looks like it has metal horizontal bracing now.

JronmanMember since May 2016

looks like the total new grinders is 15

Framer joeMember since Nov 2016

Hey @Jronman if you get any info on the new framing nailers let me know please, …

JronmanMember since May 2016

I wonder what the tool behind the sds is? a comment thought maybe a 2k caulking gun? I wonder if the power station is connected to the vac.

I’m just trying to catch up on my instagram feed after coming home from work haha. I will see if I find anything else. I’m not even sure if they are 20v or air. Seen no pictures or any other info so far. Also looks like the new osha compliant sds with vac has a filter cleaning feature.

Hugh JassMember since Feb 2015

That looks like a 2 part epoxy driver to me, which is really sweet considering how viscous epoxy is…pumping that shit out for a few hours on end have you feeling like Arnold Schwarzenegger.

JronmanMember since May 2016

the new mid torque has 350 foot pounds. Also appears as though the 20v drain snake has the 3 mode 60 lumen light.

JronmanMember since May 2016

appears to be a new dust shroud thingy that suctions to the concrete.

Clearly flexvolt designed by the gaping hole underneath, could be. I have a hard time understanding why they have all these other tools that they didn’t even mention in the event? They just prototypes to future working tools or what?

JronmanMember since May 2016

not sure @Hugh Jass

Also sounds like it might be an epoxy gun to go with the 1-7/8 sds which also has bind control. new under lid storage and powertool trays for toughbox

The 3 drawer does look nice. Also like the small LDM and the quick setup work table.

need more info on the gen3 nailer!

JakeDewaltMember since Jan 2017

Gen3 nailer so we are admitting Gen2 just isn’t up to Par.

I will sell my Gen2 for 100 bucks any takers lol?

Hugh JassMember since Feb 2015

Nobody has said anything about it being cordless. What would have been the Gen 1 framing nailer?

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

That mid torque impact has my name all over it. Good job @JimboS1ice

The single speed one I am guessing, I have the 2 and still love it.

BremonMember since Dec 2014

We’ll see how improved it is before I decide whether I’m interested or not.

JRS5565Member since May 2014

Dewalt DCN690 gen one perhaps and DCN692 gen two?  I would give you 100 for a dcn692 not trashed

JronmanMember since May 2016

maybe gen 1 is the nicd cordless nailer and the gen 2 the 20v max?

They’re both 20v, one is single two is double.

so the metal connector nailer and framing are the same nailer?

No

the metal connector nailer is a separate gun and you can tell it by the narrow extended black tip used for placing the nail.

I think the mid torque will be in my truck also…….and yes 690 was first then 692 two speed , ,and the 693 is a metal connector. (Hanger gun)……dewal pneumatic guns are highly rated,  the roofing gun is the fastest around,,the precision point nailers are excellent…the siding gun is fast and durable,,,never used there framing gun.( we use bostich and hatachi framing guns,,wire )

Having a mid torque is great, I have the evil red one and it’s the best of both worlds, still has enough grunt but isn’t enormous

Ya,  @JimboS1ice I think it will do the job setting lags for the deck ledger …my 899 is overkill…..I hope so ,never used a mid torque……..also do you own the Milwaukee 1/4,3/8,1/2″ wrenches , they have like 40 lbs torque ….Dewalt doesn’t have those and I m thinking about getting the newer ones

I have the 3/8″ ratchet those are pretty nice, interested in the 1/2″ fuel ratchet, the brushed are great pretty slim, the Milwaukee mid torque seemed to be built with higher torque specs in mind at 450 and runs lags like butta I’m sure the dewalt will still do great at the 330 or 350 rating I’ve heard it looks a bit smaller

I just don’t think you can beat Hitachi when it comes to Coil guns

Framer joeMember since Nov 2016

Thanks @JimboS1ice…ya I think the Dewalt mid will do it….and I like those new Fuel ratchets too……cmon Dewalt………btw nice show

JimboS1iceMember since Sep 2015

They have some cool stuff, can tell their direction is with the perform and protect tools, I was hoping to see some new flex volt stuff but all they really showed was the compressor, track saw and framing saw? What happened to the massive FV release?

Framer joeMember since Nov 2016

Ya….the guys on here warned me that the Dewalt shows can be lame….I had high hopes because my first show was last years…….I thought the event didn’t look professional…the set up, the stations, …last years event looked and felt PRO …seems like Dewalt rested when they should have gone for the jugular….ya some guns ,blah blah….they should have had Big ticket items …massive Flexvolt unavailing….10″ mitre,  vacuums,, table saw, adapters, etc..

I’m very disappointed….the fan won’t help, now that summer is over, same for the cooler…the heater on the shelf ,can’t heat me by sitting on the shelf…….nothing there’ to help my company make money, work more efficiently, save time……..makes you wanna go Red…..NO!  Joking…but I wish it was much bettter

the flex mixer was neat. I suspect more of a flexvolt emphasis at the GIE expo if that is still a thing and if DeWALT is going or whatever events DeWALT will be going to later this year if any.
