In my humble opinion Bosch makes some of the best lasers around. Why you ask. Well they are very accurate, very easy to use, bright and extremely well designed to protect against drops. Plus they always come out with cool lasers such as the 3 plane laser and the Surface laser. Well this time Bosch came out with a 2 in 1 laser, the GCL 25, This is a five point self leveling alignment laser with cross line. Now you don’t have to worry about carrying two lasers around. Say you are doing a kitchen project. With this single laser you can hang your cabinets and do a point transfer so your canned lights are right above the sink.
As with all the other Bosch lasers, this thing is extremely easy to use. In fact, there is only one switch and one button. The switch, which is located on the side has three positions. On/Off which locks the laser when transporting. The next position is the lock button in case you don’t want to use the 4° self leveling feature. The last position is the unlock position which activates the self leveling option. If for some reason you are out of the 4 degree range, the laser will flash to let you know you need to make an adjustment with the laser.
On the top of the unit there is a push button. When you first turn the laser on, it will bring up the cross line. Push the button and you now have your five point laser. One more push and you get your horizontal line. The next push gives you the vertical line. The last push will turn on the cross line and the five points so everything will be showing.
I used this laser a lot on a basement project we did. It was great for starting the wood floor (yes a wood floor in a basement), hanging bi-fold track, hanging bi-fold doors, chair rail, tile in the bathroom and more. The basement is about 40′ x 30′ and I never had a problem seeing the laser or points, even with the bright lights.
One thing to note is on the bottom front, there are two magnets which will come in handy, I just didn’t have any application where I needed them.
Overall this is another great laser from Bosch. Very easy to use, durable and does exactly what I wanted it to do. This laser helped save a lot of time and made my end work much better. I really liked the fact I only had to have one laser on the job which means less trips out to my truck.

Bosch lasers work great, used a few different ones over years.
with one install i think these would pay for them selves. The wife is always on me to hang stuff on the walls with this leveling is a snap.
