Senco designed the FinishPro16XP Nailer to combat today's modern materials that are harder and denser. The nailer is strong and has a great line of sight.
What pneumatic nailers do you think of when you think longevity, history, and usability? I am pretty sure that Senco came to mind first and not just because this is a Senco article. When it comes to nailers, Senco is one of the forerunners. So let's take a look at the Senco FinishPro 16XP Nailer Review.
SENCO FinishPro16XP Nailer Review Overview
Cordless nailers are becoming more popular however there is still a place for pneumatic nailers as they are powerful, have long run times, no heavy battery or gas cartridges to deal with and high-speed nailing.
Senco designed this pneumatic nailer to combat the newer grade materials you are finding in construction. The newer materials are more dense and harder.
SENCO FinishPro16XP Nailer Review Features
The 16XP (Model 9S0001N) is a 16 gauge finish nailer designed for finish and woodworking, cabinets, paneling, and casing. The nailer does come with a 5-year warranty.
One of the main features of this nailer is the straight line of sight.
On the front of the tool, Senco designed it with an EZ-Clear latch for quick and easy jam clearing.
The nailer comes with a swivel connector which always makes it easier when working with a hose. The nailer's operating pressure is between 70 – 120 psi. The air consumption of this nailer is 2.22 SCFM.
The nailer features tool-free depth of drive adjusts along with an easy to change bump or sequential feature.

SENCO FinishPro16XP Nailer Review Performance
We have this nailer on a job site and will be posting pictures via our social channels. Right now we have a finish carpenter using this on a kitchen job. A couple of things he told us was how much he likes the line of sight and the consistency with the nailer.
While he doesn't get a lot of jams, he does like the fact that it's easy to clear. One of the coolest features is the push button blower which makes clean up easy.
Another feature that I didn't think about was the included swivel. He normally takes the included air connector and throws them out for a swivel connector. He said he was happy to see he didn't have to waste time or money replacing the connector since it came with a swivel.
SENCO FinishPro16XP Nailer Review Value
You can pick this nailer up on Amazon for about $145. Overall, this is a decent price. Now if you put this side by side and only look at the price, yes, it's a little pricey. However, if you take into account everything built-in, it is superior to other finish nailers and worth the money.
SENCO FinishPro16XP Nailer Review Final Thoughts
Finding a finish nailer is easy to do but finding one that has a clear line of sight, one that is made to last and one that performs is a whole other task. The Senco FinishPro 16XP is a performer in the finish nailer world. Powerful, reliable and built to last.
