I am not sure about you, but I have never heard of Yellow Jacket before. Well, I heard of the bee, but not the surge protector. They reached out to us and wanted to get our opinions of them. I understand that all surge protectors are not created equally. There is a lot that goes on inside to make them truly protect your electronics. So for this, I am really going to talk about the surge protector itself as I am going to take Yellow Jacket Surge Protectors word that these are actually built well. Plus on Amazon it has a 4.5 star rating with 40 reviews.
While they seem like quality surge protectors, there are a couple things that stand out to me. For the strip, I really like the longer cord. I hate when you get a surge protector and the cord is only 2′. However on the four square, for some reason this cord is a little shorter. Not that it’s a huge deal, but something to note. Where the plug meets the cord, it seems like a sturdy connection and will allow the plug to get abuse without failing and ripping the sheathing away. As for the strip protector, the last two outlets are offset, so you have more space in between outlets. As you know, some things have a huge plug and end up taking up two spaces. So now your 6 outlet protector is down to 5. With the Yellow Jacket Surge Protector you can truly have 6 outlets, even when you have a big plug in place.
I know this is just a surge protector, so they really aren’t that interesting, but this is just a product we wanted to share with you. Let us know your thoughts by leaving a comment below or in our YouTube video.
Come on guys, Yellow Jacket it like THE brand of choice for extension cords and accessory ends…. you know, they first started using the little lights in the ends of their cords so you would know they were plugged in, yeah those cords.
But seriously, I have the woods version of this 4 plug variant, and use it a lot, got it from Ace and glad I did. Also like the idea of the offset outlets in the strip, good innovation
Those are good, inexpensive surge protectors well worth the money spent
Nice stuff, seems pretty durable, i should definitely check them out #tiacrew
