Wiss knife thmb

Utility knives send many people to the emergency room every year.  I know because I was one of them.  Well if I had the Wiss Auto-Retracting Utility Knife I wouldn’t be a statistic.  It looks just like any other utility knife on the market except for one thing.  The blade automatically retracts after the work is cut.  How does it do this?  Well you push the slide bar forward with your thumb then when you push down on your work it activates a spring loaded mechanism that when you let up, activates the release, rapidly retracting the blade.  If you you let go of the slide bar the blade also retracts.

Apart from being one of the safest utility knives I have ever seen, it is also one of the easiest to change the blade, just slide the switch to change, pull the blade out and replace.  In our drop tests the plastic cover came off but was not damaged and snapped right back on as you can see in the pictures.  Check out Wiss Here
