When it comes to knives, I am not the guy who is going to talk about the angle of the blade, the material or where the balance point should be.  I am just a guy who loves cooking, food, and needs the right knife for the job.  So let’s jump into the Veark Santoku Knife and learn more about this knife.

Veark Santoku Knife Overview

As I said, I am not going to geek all out on you so if that is what you’re looking for, this isn’t the post for you.  However, I am the guy who knows that having the right tool for the job makes life easier.  So when it comes to knives, I know and understand that having the perfect knife is crucial, so if I have to pay more, I have no issues.  I just want a great knife for the job at hand.

Before we jump in and learn more, you can read more about the previous Veark Knife Review, CK20 Chef’s Knife so you can learn a little bit about the company and my thoughts.

Veark Santoku Knife Features

Veark Santoku Knife

So I said I wouldn’t geek out but I do have to go over some of the important information such as this is made from German steel (X50CRMoV15) and weighs about 6.7 oz. and has a hardness of 58 HRC.

The blade is about 5.9″ long and each knife is sharpened by hand to just below 30°.

The knife is drop forged from a single piece of steel.  So not only is this knife tough, but it is a quality knife and no two knives are alike.

Having the right tool for the job is a must.  While cutting is important, the handle is equally as important because the handle is what gives you control which also means safety.

The handle is long and wide so it’s easy to handle even when wet.  If you notice, the handle looks like a wrench handle and that has been proven to be an effective handle.  If it can be used for high torque applications, it is more than sufficient for a knife.

Because it has a wrench style design, it’s easy to slide your thumb onto the blade and grab it at the precise balance point

Veark Santoku Knife Performance

I had some pictures but the pictures don’t do any justice.  This is just something you have to have in your hands and use to really appreciate this masterpiece.  This is one of the most comfortable knives I have ever used.  I can easily get to the balance point and after all my cutting is done, it keeps its edge.

Veark Santoku Knife Value

You can expect to pay about $179 for this knife.  Yes, I know some people will say that’s a lot and pass.  But for those of us who understand how having the right tool for the job is a must, this is a great deal.  The knife stays sharp, easy to work with and the craftsmanship is nothing like I have seen before.  This isn’t your assembly line of knives, this is craftsmanship at its finest.

Veark Santoku Knife Final Thoughts

Bottom line, this knife is a must-have for anyone who is serious about their cooking.  I don’t care if you are a homeowner or professional, it’s a must for any kitchen.  The knife offers a perfect balance point and a great handle for control.  The craftsmanship of these knives is like no other.  I only wish they had steak knives or a paring knife.
