Introduction

Our editors called it the world’s fastest jack, and the clip shows why. Slide the Zendex RakJak under the truck, open the air, and the bags inflate and lift. Zendex says it makes setting a car on jack stands quick and easy.

How It Works

Instead of a pump handle or a hydraulic ram, the RakJak uses air bags. The model in Zendex’s listing, the RakJak DBT2, has two stacked 10 in. air bags. Feed it shop air with the control on the long handle and it rises; release the air and it comes down. In the clip, it lifts a truck from the front suspension in seconds.

Specs from Zendex

Zendex lists the DBT2 at 2 tons (4,000 lbs) of lifting capacity at 120 psi, a 5.75 in. collapsed height, 13.75 in. of full extension, and a weight of 37 lbs. It has a 360-degree swivel top pad and is built with ASTM-513 steel DOM tubing. Zendex says it’s made in the USA and backed by a 7-year limited warranty.

Zendex markets it for professional automotive repair, collision repair, tire and wheel service, and frame and alignment work. As with any jack, it’s for lifting, not holding. Get the vehicle onto rated jack stands before you work under it.

If you lift vehicles a lot, an air jack like the RakJak takes the pumping out of the job. It’s low enough to slide under most vehicles and fast enough to save real time. TIA Members who use air jacks in their shops can share their setups in the forum.
