What is a Power Snake Drain Used for?
Generally, SKIL products are aimed at prosumers and DIY’ers, or in this case, individuals who aren’t scared to tackle plumbing issues. If plumbing is new to you, it may seem unnecessary to spend $129.99 on what some might consider a limited-use plumbing tool.
My firsthand experience will tell you that power snake drains are absolutely worth the investment for homeowners.
My previous house was built in the 1950’s and the plumbing showed signs that it was nearing the end of its life. Our toilet was very prone to clogging. We tried a few different products before landing on an electric snake drain. While it was more expensive than the other products we tried, it effectively cleared our drains, and we were able to avoid extensive and expensive plumbing repairs while we lived in that home.
In my personal opinion, an effective power snake drain can effectively treat and delay certain plumbing issues until they can be fixed. Plus, they can treat a wide variety of clogs.
