  1. Another great detailed review Eric! Great read! Funny how your kids are your durability testers. Kid tested, father approved 🙂 Another test is give your kids hockey sticks and use the tape measure as a puck. Just kidding.

  2. Great review guys can’t wait till they come to Australia, and the reason why it makes that noice is because there’s a thin bit if metal or plastic that when you retract or extend you tape it clean/scrapes it clean from dirt and dust that might get stuck on it (: great idea. Like I said can’t wait till they get here but they have to convert it first from imperial to metric haha

    From your mate from Oz

  3. Haha yea I know right metric has been around for ages but I was taught with imperial and then a year later I was thrown onto metric because “it’s old fashioned” some thing with hand nailing aches on doors or windows I prefer to use a hammer and nails but no haha it pissed me off mate to no bloody end haha

  6. I bought one and love it. Great all around tape and I as well said bye to my Stanley. I am hoping when they come out with more varieties they will offer one with a smaller sized hook end. Using this during plumbing work it is nice to get inside of holes, pipes and tight spaces. I live 1 hour away from Milwaukee and couldn’t be any prouder to use their products.

  7. Im back, i have been swamped lately and have been missing out on the best tool reviews made by man haha! Great review as always Eric, Milwaukee can make something so simple into something better.

  8. while there are a few good features of this tape. It also has a few flaws.

I personally hate tapes with the giant shovel hook, but thats just me.

the metal stop makes it so the tape will not stand up when set on the floor, which if you do any kind of layout makes the tape pretty much useless.

second is that it is “professionally made in china”(I always laugh when I read that) the stanly’s, at least the fat max’s, are built in the US.

  9. I just watched you video, and saw you put it down and it stood up, so to avoid and confusion, what I meant about it not standing up was when you push the tape around from the blade end it falls over.
