Other tool companies may have given up on their 12V tool line, but Milwaukee Tool is dominating the 12V category from all directions. By years end will have over 50 tools in the line up. The compact MIlwaukee M12 1/2″ SDS Rotary Hammer is amazingly small, it tips the scales at 3.9lbs and is only 9″ long. On a Red Lithium XC battery you get approx. 60 holes per charge. No chipping mode on this little guy, just rotary and rotary hammer mode. It is covered by a 5 year warranty on the tool itself.

I tried to find Eric to try out the tool, but he got overwhelmed with all the Milwaukee tools and was sitting in the corner hyperventilating in a brown paper bag when I found him. Luckily he is OK and I think he might survive!
Check out Milwaukee Tool
Looks like that might be a kick butt tool for Tapcons.
With all the new cordless compact sds tools I wonder if we will see the hammer drill fade away in cordless tools I some what doubt it, but from what i have seen and used sds is so much better for concrete work.
I guess this review is about 5 years old. How has the 12-volt Milwaukee 1/2″ SDS held up after 5 years? I am thinking of purchasing the bare tool.

It’s been good as far as we know. We gave it to a contractors and last time we saw him, he was still using it. Not sure how often he uses it.
