We cut a couple different locks with these cutters. The biggest things, which isn’t surprising, is how much easier it was to cut the lock with the handles fully extended. While we could still cut the lock with the handles in the shortest position, having the option to extend the handles is key.
I like how easy it is to make the handles longer or shorter. Just turn the knob and pull or push. No screws or extra tools needed to make changes.
Milwaukee Adjustable Bolt Cutter Review Value
The Milwaukee adjustable bolt cutters retail for about $50 at The Home Depot. This is about a $20 premium to the 14″non-adjustable cutters. So if you don’t really need the adjustable option, the 14″non-adjustable is a much better buy. If you are in the position where you find yourself needing the flexibility, the extra $20 isn’t going to kill you and will help you in the long run.
