We haven’t used many Hitachi saw, but have always heard great things about them. After trying and using the C12rsh, I have to say they do make one of the best saws on the market. Now I am not saying it’s the best, but it is one of the top saw. Everything is well thought out on this saw. It’s easy to use, easy to set up and makes perfect cuts. I have to say if your in the market for a sliding compound saw, you have to take a look at this saw. I am having a hard time to find anything negative to say about this saw.

Hitachi C12RSH 15 Amp 12-Inch Sliding Compound Miter Saw with Laser
I have owned 2 of these saws. They are a good product but you really need to check the blade with a level @ 0 constantly .
I haven’t ever really been impressed with this saw. I have a Hitachi C10FSB which cuts straight even after 10 years of hard use, but all their newer saws seem to have poorly cast and ground decks and are hard to keep true. Hitachi appears to be unwilling to compete with pro-grade companies in the power tool segment, and have discontinued or value-engineered-to-death the few well-respected saws they produced. However they still make great pneumatic tools and shop equipment.
It would be nice to win a saw like this one.
I have heard a few people complain about there being some play in the adjustment when making miter cuts. Just curious if anyone else had that problem.
Dan, what do you think of 8 1/2 miter saws?
Hmm, I cant say I have used an 8.5 yet
