Greenworks 40V Lawnmower Cut Report

Greenworks is a name I have become more familiar with over the last year.  I really love their products and they seem to make good stuff.  So let’s talk about the cut report for this 40V battery operated lawnmower.  First, is the good news.  If you’re the type to stay on top of your lawn mowing, this is a great mower.  Very lightweight and easy to maneuver.  The battery life is great and the fact that it comes with two batteries, makes cutting and finishing your lawn great.  You really shouldn’t have any down time.  The mower did a great job bagging my grass and I love the handle on the bag for emptying it.  Adjusting the height is very easy as it only has one lever for adjustments.

Okay, the bad item is if you are like me and tend to get busy with your week, you will tend to forget to mow and you look like the neighbor from hell with tall grass, yes that is me.  I wasn’t too impressed with the mower cutting through tall grass. Yes, it will cut tall grass, but you have to go very slow.  I know, I should raise the deck and cut it, then lower and cut it again.  Well that’s my problem, who has time to do that?  If I had time to do that, I would have never let it get long in the first place.

Bottom line is for shorter grass this lawn mower is great.  Very easy to use, does a great job cutting shorter grass and good battery life.  If you tend to let your grass grow long, you might not be too happy with the performance of this mower.

  1. I don’t have a problem with plastic if its good quality plastic and engineered properly. The deck on my Honda mower is plastic, but its really thick and durable. I have no doubt the deck will last the life of the mower. The plastic on the Greenworks looks kinda cheap and really thin in spots. I would worry about it possibly cracking in the future.
