I thought this would be a good thread to start & will help a lot of people out when at the store. Post info, links, & pictures of your top three favorite driver bit/drill bit “kits”. Then post 2-3 of your favorite bits, attachments, extensions, etc that do not come in the kits you use.
My fav kits so far are as follows:
– Milwaukee Shockwave 45pce impact kit (#1 used kit) — Link: http://thd.co/26QU2UH
– Milwaukee Shockwave Titanium drill bit kit (23pcs) — Link: http://thd.co/26QUzGb
-Bosch SBID21 Impact bit kit (21pcs) — Link: http://amzn.to/26QVsys
I will add my fav misc pieces when I get home. …anyone else?
I just got a set of Wihas in the mail yesterday. All torque bits in cool little case with a driver. I got me on eBay for $12 so a little bit of savings….

Ill do you one better, I have a video here about some bits that i use, its a long one, after this vid I picked up two sets of Irwin Fractional drill bits I love, Black Oxide Turbomax and Cobalt. But here is the vid if your actually interested!
Does anyone on here have the shockwave 30° knuckle on their list as one of the things that they use all the time? I think it can be purchased just the knuckle itself but I’m not sure. I noticed today that it’s not sold in any stores around me it’s one of those online only deals. I have not seen it posted on here very much at all and I’m not sure why, I use my hand ratchet one like this all the time

HD clearanced it out a few months ago
Nothing Milwaukee outside of my hole saw kit here. I’ve got some Dewalt black oxides. They’re not bad. I’ve got the Makita contractor set which is okay. Comparable to the Ryobi basic set. The drill bits are nice though. Then I’ve got the Festool Centrotec contractors set. Nothing better but I believe all of the bits are actually made by Wiha and the Zobo forstners are made by Festool. The absolute bar none best Forster bits in the world. They have re sharpenable blades and replaceable drill bits in the shaft.

I bought one on amazon little while back, it comes with a few bits, ive started using them pretty regularly around the house.
I also recently bought makita set of bits and drill bits I use sometimes.
Dont really have a favorite… for work, I mainly use 1/4″ & 5/16″ nut drivers and Phillips and torx….no real set, just a few bits I put together

I have those too, nice set and the case is well made.
These Wihas are by far my must used bits, it’s like they were made for what I do and the set is 7, 8, & 10mm, the vast majority of fasteners I’ll turn in a work day. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0033PR4I0/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1[External image (uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied]
These VIMs come in a distant second, for reach. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012UT7CMM/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1[External image (uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied]
And my go-to torx bits, US made SK. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00DSSMCBG/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER[External image (uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied]
And my all time favorite accessory. Doesn’t come out often but saves the day every time. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0000224AW/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1462340608&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=milwaukee+right+angle+drill+attachment[External image (uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com), not copied]

I love mine. Reviews claim it’s unwieldy and the removable handle falls off to easily and gets lost, I haven’t had that problem. It’s not for impacts or any high torque application, I did break one that way. Milwaukee has a similar one that’s a bit tougher for $50, and it’s a true right angle.

I haven’t used that but I have found my Milwaukee 30 degree version useful. BUT that one is impact rated, I think I’d recommend getting a version that is impact rated, I know Milwaukee and Dewalt have impact rated versions…If you can find one of the 30 degree Milwaukees at HD, they should be clearanced at $6 but I doubt there will be many of those left.

I have the Dewalt right angle but I’ve used it maybe once, my m12 right angle drill does the job

Can’t beat that price! I’ve got the Dewalt angle attachment and so far so good. I use it mostly on a couple pieces of furniture we have. Nothing heavy duty at all, but works well for what I needed it to.

Throw the bits away but use the hell out of that, it works great. Very cool of the rep to hook you up!

I did see the Dewalt one. It’s 20 degrees and this is 30. The one thing I don’t like is how big it is and the huge ball/hinge. Thr Dewalt one is so much skinnier. This looks much stronger thou
5 Piece Magnetic Impact Ready Nutdrivers Set
DeWALT DW1361 Titanium Pilot Point Drill Bit Set (though I wouldn’t go with These again as they dull quickly) I liked the Ridgid bits HD used to carry.
And my most used is part of an off brand tool box set with an array of bits and hand tools all organized in 4 compact drawers; which I picked up about 15 yrs ago at an automotive supply place and have yet to find anything like it again. All quality stuff used on a regular basis, without dulling or breaking. Probably my best tool buy to date.
