I currently have BFG Rugged Trail All Terrains right now and not overly impressed with them in the winter. I am looking for a good highway or AT tire with good snow traction. My driveway is an incline and with the current tires I normally need 4×4 to get into my garage during the winder. I rarely if ever will tow anything. I would like to keep road noise to a minimum. P-metric tires are currently on the truck.
I called Goodyear and the Wrangler AT Adventure with Kevlar in LT275/65/R18’s are overstocked at the warehouse and can get them out the door for $915 including road hazard plus a $70 rebate to drop it down to $845.
Michelin LTX M/S2’s would be $1040 out the door with no road hazard in P metric.
I think I can get the LTX A/T2’s closer to the $900 OTD price as well in Pmetric.
What would you go with? Are the LT’s overload or worth it for the price?
General Grabber AT2s. I had them on my f250 plow truck and they were awesome. I put 35k miles on them and they still had over 1/2 the tread remaining when I traded it in. Snow rated and quiet on the highway. I took it off road too and they had great mud traction as well.

The LT and load range depend on your vehicle. Never install a lower grade tire. If your truck calls for a LT load range E don’t put a passenger car tire on it.

Mine calls for regular P metric which is why im contemplating getting the LT’s for $200 cheaper.
LT tires are cheaper for your truck? That’s usually the other way around

Only because Goodyear is over stocked by like 400 some odd tires. So at the moment they are $55 cheaper than the P metric of the same tire.
I got set of Goodyear wrangler mtr with Kevlar on my Silverado. They have done everything I have needed. I added a link to the tires.

I also did a thread on tires.

Would get Michelin Ltx they last long if you rotate them every 6k. Plus their a quite tire.

Can’t go wrong with either one.
My truck is 2WD and I use only General Grabber AWS. (I think) I know they are General Grabber in any event. I pay $130 per tire installed at my shop. Because the truck is 2WD I still put a lot of weight in the back for winter but I’ve been able to drive through a foot of snow without issue.
I have no idea what’s on my truck lol!!

you can leave your man card by the door as you escort yourself out.
on a side note I am still undecided. Now looking at the Cooper discovery AT3’s that have a rebate until the end of the weekend and the new Yokohama AT….ugh!!!!
I ended up ordering some tires today. Ford of all places had the best pricing. Ordered the Wrangle AT Adventures with Kevlar, LT tire for $192 each. After rebate and taxes itll be $780 otd. Im happy with that price.
