I came across a Napa branded intrepid heroes tool cart/box with that looked solid and had nice feeling drawers. Has anybody had any experience with them?

JimboS1iceMember since Sep 2015

Come on dude you know we need pictures!!!

StercorariusMember since Dec 2015

Yeah, I was just passing through the town with a load of cows and had to run in and grab some batteries for my hot shot and saw it. I might try and grab a pic on my last load today.

I got a little chuckle after reading that too!

Never heard heard of these tool boxes. I only use craftsman tool chests.

I think Napa sells homak tool boxes

So do I buy, or no?

KnarlyCarlMember since Jan 2016

Looks pretty nice what would you put on the bottom shelf?

Will I just ordered it in to my local one, no commitment to it though. As far as the bottom shelf goes, I’m going to put all my bags of jumbo sized wrenches on it or something.

JimboS1iceMember since Sep 2015

How much?

$300, HD sold the toolboxes that they had that I was going to buy (bottom section of my silver one) so I grabbed figured I have to order this one.

JimboS1iceMember since Sep 2015

That doesn’t seem bad, good quality?

Some people on other forums said they thought it was better than matco

Buddy has one here at the shop I work at and they actually are very well built. to get the best deal on this ask them when they’re tool sale will be and they usually have screaming deals on this box

It’s actually on sale right now.

This is a great starter tool box with good quality but the only problem my co- worker has ran into is out growing it so quick. If you don’t see yourself out growing it soon, buy it. They are handy and small enough to push around the shop.

$300 bucks is a great deal. Do it than send the crew pics with it full of tools☺

Yeah, this one is probably going to stay at work in the shop with my cheaper tools so I don’t have to lug them back and forth everyday.

Speaking of NAPA, I stopped in my local store and they had three piece Knipex pliers wrench set (7″, 10″, & 12″) sitting all dusty and damages packaging but brand new…. still wanted $149 for the three, methinks thats still too much

That’s a great looking box bro and for $300 it’s not bad at all it looks very solid and well built I have a blue point box at the shop that I use for my daily used tools and I have another box more stationary for other tools I don’t need everyday. Throw a TIA sticker on there and it will look even sexier 😉

NicholasShetleyMember since Nov 2013

That’s a good looking box. It is far cheaper than the truck offerings as well. I like how deep the top portion is. How wide is it?

Lol I did the same thing you did

Alright so I bought it. I was expecting beige bit it ended up being black, no biggie, can’t see oil stains (both a pro and a con). Used it great box, I love it. Not a fan of the liner’s it came with, strong gas struts, very sturdy. Lots of assy. required. I like the we believe in heroes decal, every time I see it a bald eagle is born. Photo from the original forum

It isn’t a gloss finish, more like bedliner, which I prefer. A co-worker said the finish was almost identical to the Kennedy he had when he worked in a machine shop.

I know that finish well… gave my Kennedy to a cousin, since I wasn’t using it, so I know it’s in good hands. Was my first bench top box I bought, really one of those older style boxes that were built to last.

That’s not really it’s intended purpose… it’s a cart, so it’s designed to be used hauling your most used tools back and forth from what you’re working on to your big box, so you’re not trying to push around 3000+ pounds all day.

Cool man! A couple of the NAPAs around here have the beige version, and the non-commemorative blue model, and I frequently run my grubby paws all over them. One of these days…

I’m still kicking myself for not buying one of the carts with the full length drawers (like a Snappy KRSC46) when they disco’d them a couple of years ago…

No, I read the whole thing, I was just addressing this part. That’s the problem with ADD and OCD. I get fixated on something but have the attention span of a gnat.
