Keep it short and simple, I’d like to know what everyone’s pet peeves are.
Mispronouncing: MASONRY. Adding an A to it and saying MASONARY.

Yup can’t stand when people that disagree post nasty comments. If you don’t like what the person is doing don’t follow/subscribe to them.
When you meet people with an attitude of entitlement.
I have soo many…
Rude people: What’s the point of being rude to people that haven’t done anything to you?
Grammatical errors: I don’t mind all grammatical errors because I find the English language is rather complex and can be used in interesting ways to create the same basic idea. It’s the simple grammatical errors that bother me, such as confusing; your/you’re(which is common on this forum but I’m not complaining 😉 ), their/there/they’re, etc…
People that talk with their mouth full or spit when they talk. Coughing/sneezing without covering their mouth/nose.
I have more but I also have a pet peeve about people that complain too much and I’m starting to get on my nerves 😛
People chewing with their mouth open, telemarketers, liars. Along with pretty much everything Bmack said…
Like Jimbo, negative comments. Doesn’t matter where but on line it ticks me off. That’s due to the anonymity that the Internet provides be it YouTube, here, wherever.
If I have a problem with somebody I 1) keep it to myself or 2) if I feel strongly enough I let them know to their face.
Thats the biggest problem with the Internet and social networking. Nobody knows how to talk to anybody.
Also…….SUPPOSIBLY.
Its SUPPOSEDLY!!!!!! There ain’t a b in the darn word!!!!!
SHOULD HAVE NOT “SHOULD OF” jeeze

Driving in the left lane full time. ESPECIALLY at or BELOW the speed limit. LEFT LANE IS FOR PASSING!
Oh and another thing. When people breathe really loud in a quiet place! This is happening to me right now.
phantom stock at big box stores……..hate going there for nothing cause it never ends up for nothing and I end up buying stuff I didn’t go there for…..

Definitly is one too. Definitely is a word, definitly is not a word. This stuff bothers me but I try not to comment on it because I know that not everyone went to college or had the opportunity at a great education, that is not to say that those people are unintelligent. Though I had a girlfriend that always wrote “your” instead of “you’re” and I’d correct her every time…and she was an English major in college!
I’m with you guys on negative comments. I’m sometimes respond back with a negative comment but don’t initiate it. I’ve never understood the internet crap talker, then you meet them in person by chance and they’re apologetic and default to “It as a joke.” If you can’t say it to someone’s face, don’t say it online. I am personally kind of a jerk in person because I have trouble hiding my feelings through facial expressions/body language. I’ve literally not said anything and had someone say; “You don’t think I’m very smart do you?” …They were correct.
That last statement reminded me of another one; using “Literally” when you mean “Figuratively.”

I’m guilty I suck at spelling sometimes and autocorrect doesn’t help me lol. In real life I call people out on bullshit but generally online it’s not worth my typo filled smack talk.
@knarlycarl I say should of all the time, I think it’s a region thing I.e. The “Chicago” accent that I am so guilty of. Most people would say “where are you?” Not here, it’s “where are you at?”
Or someone says you “you should have cut that 4×4 safer even though we wouldn’t have been able to see the saw on video”
Most response for proper Ingwish would be, “yes I should have!” But in the land of da bears it comes out “I should of!”
Man I’m guilty of some of these hardcore!!
People who complain about those who make valid negative comments. if you don’t want to hear what people think about your stuff, don’t allow them or ask them to make comments!!!!
BTW, we would have been able to see the saw no problem on a safer cut of the 4×4. You just chose to not think about what you were doing. That isn’t our fault for pointing it out, and to be honest, if what we say helps you retain a digit in the future, it was well worth the criticism.

Mike in going to tell you right now, there is a difference between being negative and being critical yet constructive. This is respectful and great place where many people here I would call my friends. Was what I did safe? No but it did what I was trying to do and show off the speed of the saw, the video was not “how to cut a 4×4”
You’ve already made a name for yourself on these parts as being negative, nothing I did I have you worm welcomes but YOUR negativity doesn’t offend me, yes I put my videos out there to watch and not everything is going to be a pat on the back. What offends me is your lack of respect for other members of this forum that deserve it for hard work that they do for this community. If you don’t like us here nothing says you have to say, you can go join garage journal and debate with people all day long!
Peace, love, and #TIACREW
Ricky back to your OP shitty toilet paper… No pun intended

Lol silly negative noobs. This thread cracks me up.
Being constructive I agree is proper, for them to be an asshat/Dbag take that childish stuff else where.
We all know who knows their shizzle around here and im pretty sure we all got Jimbos back.
Back on topic of pet peeves most of mine yall listed, but I gotta say regardless of whether its a tool or some other item if you are gonna use it put the darn thing back where it came from so it can be found again. My wife is notorious for this, drives me nuts.
Everything I own has its own home and if its not there I start asking myself where did I put it? Im so compulsive about this sometimes I drive myself nuts.
Ok here is one I think we can all agreee with that I had the pleasure of dealing with yesterday…
Freaking security guards from various security services who think they are either police or have the power of a policeman. If they knew the law so well, then they would realize that placing that huge permanent sticker on my car is vandalism.
Aah yes renta pigs we call them here in Cali.
Most of them are total posers looking for a power trip. They put a sticker on your vehicle? Id be slappin’ the stupid out of that guy.
I have great respect for real law officers thou, they have a crazy tough job and many of them are my former military friends.
Yup, put a sticker on my truck saying they are going to tow it for having an expired license plate sticker 4 days past due. Funny thing… My lease agreeement doesn’t give them the power to tow a vehicle for an expired registration. Guess I need to drive my truck more than once every few weeks so i don’t forget these things.
Jimbo its only my pet peeve, so I dont hate on anyone that says it. It’s mainly my wife that says “should of” but I still love her. I am known to be a stickler about spelling and grammar, having been raised to be conscious of it, but I don’t make a deal of it unless it’s my brother in law lol he’s terrible at spelling!

You have no idea bro. This and pricks with bright headlights. Generally they tend to be the same people. They think the road is all theirs. When I’m running a big rig nothing annoys me more than the guys who creep up on you with bright headlights and camp out right next to the back corner of the trailer and blind you through the mirror, I sorta need to use them. That and when guys pass slowly. If I’m going uphill in my truck and there’s a heavier truck in front of me going slower the last thing I want to have to do is lose a couple gears because some a hole is taking his sweet time passing the trucks and not letting me use the passing lane. The most annoying is when a holes go five under on a two lane road, but you don’t have the time to pass them because you’re in a truck and then when you finally have a passing lane they decide to go five over and then drop back to five under when the passing lane is done. What cause the most murderous rage though is when I pass someone that’s on their phone and going under speed and is all over the road, they set their phone down, decide to fly by me, get back in the lane and then they get a reply to their text and get back on their phone and slow back down to between 5-15 under, and I’m the one that would get in trouble if I decided to keep speed and plow their miserable ass off the road into oblivion. In the year and a half I’ve had my license I’ve driven more miles than most people do before they hit thirty and I could go on and on about the D-bags on the road, but I’ll stop here before someone lists my rants as one of their pet peeves.
Man a lotta grammer ones on here. Everyone I deal with speaks spanglish so you build up a tolerance pretty quickly. It even has gotten to the point where I start using the wrong tense of words just from hearing it all the time like, “gave me that wrench pendejo”

Cierra la boca Manicon!
😀
Hmm, this thread really took it’s turns around and about, first it was supposed to be quick replies haha then several rants etc… now we’re on to spanish… I think that’s a curse word, @Stercorarius but it’s been too long ago since I worked with the hispanics, and I think @BMack37 is saying to shut your mouth, holy turds on rice, i’m so rusty anymore…..

Aye cabrón, I’m assuming you mean marícon lol. I spent a summer working with some milkers that taught me how to swear in Spanish and a different summer with field guys who also taught me how to swear in Spanish. Now that I think about it, all of the Spanish words I know are vulgar. I need to invest in Rosetta Stone……

I’m half Hispanic and that half doesn’t care about grammar. 😛
……disrespect………..
plain and simple !!!!!!!
Living in California we have a huge Hispanic population and i get to enjoy it. Good people, great food, and beer. Oh and hispanic girls are hella hot.
OWNER BUILDERS!!! I’m on a job right now that this guy and his brothers are trying to tackle being GC. The more questions he asks, the more he gets on my nerves.
People that ask for help and dont like your answer. Or people that whistle at you like a dog to get your attention. I dont get why people whistle just walk up and ask for help.
Also people that watch you physically exert yourself then tell you youre doing it wrong and dont tell you why

I hate when someone calls two even three times in a row! I’m working! If I could answer then I would’ve picked up the first time!
Oh and I hate how jay Dee cleaners calls me once a month for the last YEAR and leaves screaming voicemails about their 20% off everything in the store deal! I don’t fing care! Stop calling me! They’ve been calling me for so long now that I forget sometimes and when I see the number calling it’ll look familiar so I pick it up just to hear the same dumb azz screaming ” Jaydee cleaners 20% off everything everything everything…!!” I get so mad I usually hang up by the third time he says “everything” lol
“It should be easy to fix”
…If it was easy, whyTF didn’t you fix it?
When someone asks “…what took so long?!”

People screwing over someone on a tool deal and people being a jackass for no reason.

this is so offensive :P.
my contributions… bad grammar. I correct people all the time (yes, I realize I’m being an asshole).
My biggest pet peeve at work though is the microwave. The plate is almost always off the spinning track, and there are always 5-10 seconds left on it. Makes me want to take it out back and smash it to share the misery. What’s so wrong with putting 5-10 seconds less on the timer to begin with? Takes me two seconds to correct but the annoyance keeps giving long after that haha.
Oh, and people using one or two of your tools, then leaving them where ever they were when they finished with them so you have to go looking when you need it. So many laps for nothing.
Aw good thing it wasn’t face to face I’d be sitting in a Canadian gulag right now. Thanks Comp. for the tip. Lol.

not sure why you let this happen in the first place, when I was working in the shop it was shunned upon to even ask…
Supervisors from other departments telling your subordinates how you should do business.
