It’s listed as “coming soon” so either they’ve decided a cordless only nailer line might be a bad idea or it’s a placeholder.

Almost the same one is listed on amazon with a different handle texture as 7120-21 whereas the new one is 7220-20

I think Senco/Hitachi/Bostitch/Porter Cable are so well established among professionals that these are going to be a flop. I just bought my dad a new Hitachi and I wouldn’t have bought a red one because Hitachi is proven. The only way you could get a roofer to pay the (likely high) price for these is to sedate them, pry their Senco from their hands, and then pay them to try the Milwaukee. Just my two cents. A lot of guys are creatures of habit and don’t like change. I’ve used Hitachi’s my whole life and it is very improbable that I’ll buy anything else for more money. If they could beat Hitachi and Senco in price and performance they might be able to break even. I think Milwaukee knows this and that’s why they are focusing on the cordless market and not the pnuematic tools. From what I hear the Bosch guns were great but nobody bought them and so they were discontinued. If they are trying to break into the pnuematic market I don’t think a roofing nailer is the wisest tool to lead with. I dunno I guess we’ll find out in June.

Maybe Milwaukee is going big into all nailers, both cordless and pneumatic and they’re counting on their name to convince people to break with tradition.  I do suspect though that they’ll get one and only one shot at getting these right.  If these have any problems at all, even anecdotal, they’ll get a rep for being unreliable and we’ll see the entire line on clearance sooner rather than later.

Milwaukee did have pneumatic years ago but discontinued them. Milwaukee might be doing it to offer a full lineup of tools like the other brands.

I have a Porter Cable pneumatic roofing nailer for years, great tool, don’t use it every day but when I do it never lets me down. I think I picked it up reconditioned from Tool King way back when…

They are supposed to be making a pneumatic framer too.  Not really excited about that one either.

They need to bring on the Fuel versions of a roofer and a framer so I can completely empty by bank account.
