I currently have a P.C. 690LR. I am wanting to upgrade with a plunge base. The two options I am considering are: Bosch MRC23EVSK or P.C. 895PK. Any Suggestions would help. Thank You.

I’m between the Bosch, makita, dewalt sets myself. Leaning towards the makita for no real reason.

My vote is for the Bosch partially because I am a Bosch guy and I also have the Bosch Colt and I love it. Probably can’t go wrong with either actually.

I have the EU version of the “Bosch MRC23EVSK” , and it is great. Awesome grip and control. Powerfull motor with low vibrations, good soft start and generally no troubles. Gold contracts, good, long, solid and soft cable, nice speed control, and very stable RPM with varying load.

Awesome with possibility to adjust distance from underside (don’t need this expensive function on the router table).

Could get a better/stable plunge measurement (distance). Nothing major and problematic, but is not as detailed/accurate as the micrometer adjustor.

I’d say the bosch is a very solid choice at least. 🙂

The Bosch is a great choice, I have the MRC23EVS, and I love it. Everything Andrull said is true.

I’d almost say go with the PC but….only if you were looking at the more powerful motor. I have the 1617 Bosch and love it. I would add the Bosch has a faster speed however the PC has one handed bit replacement as opposed to using two wrenches. I guess what I’m saying, either one will be a great machine.

I tend to agree with everyones suggestion about Bosch, even though I am a DeWalt guy, I been eyeing up the Bosch router.

I have been considering the Milwaukee 5616. I already have 2 PC and a Craftsman plus a Harbor freight trim router that is actually a decent tool for $20. I like the grip on the Milwaukee and the adjustment setup.

The Bosch just dropped $30! Down from $219 to $189. Looks like I’ll be getting one of those too!

NM…I was looking at the other Bosch router. The one with the wood handles. Workshop addict did a review of the one your looking at and the other one. Likes and dislikes between the two. I’d give it a watch.

Oh, I saw it. I was looking into the other model: MRC23EVSK

I wish it went down in price.
