What do you guys listen to while you are out working? I’m always looking for some good work jams.
My current playlist includes:
Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins to get me hyped, followed by Hungry like the wolf by Duran Duran, and Big City Nights live in Athens by the scorpions to get me all worked up and ready.
Redeemer of Souls by Judas Priest is great album for energy intensive labor.
Higher Truth by Chris Cornell is my go to chill work album.
And when I’m spreading manure I listen to classic music on NPR because it feels right.
A healthy dose of Taylor Swift is always nice too, just not when other guys are around to hear me singing along……
Me I love to get going with a little fog hat then some Leonard skinner then to bring me back a little moody blues.
Huh Taylor swift, hey whatever I don’t judge. ….
I like classical music, listen to a lot of piano pieces at night.
Otherwise i like stuff like Sister Nightfall by Sirenia, some Nightwish, Volbeat, Dragonforce, Edenbridge

Holy crap, ask an easier question. I use a 30GB Zune in the garage, and it’s filled with everything from the Eagles to Johnny Cash, The Who to Adele. I listen to everything, if it sounds good to me it’s on the Zune. AC/DC, Judas Priest, Metallica, Alvin and the Chipminks, Blues Travellers, etc.. My music tastes are very broad. Hell, I think I’ve got Slim Whitman on the computer too…

Right on with Volbeat Carl!
Im all over the map on music, country, classic rock, pretty much everything but rap, and anything that a teeny bopper would enjoy.
Pandora – Foo Fighters radio
At work we listen to a combination of stations from Pandora, it shuffles between rock to 90s alternative rock, to Beatles, to 90s Rap.
mixed bag here too, if it gets my toe’s twitching I break out in dance….NOT!

Interstate love song is a great truck driving song when It doesn’t put you to sleep.
Difficult question for me as well, as I like a wide variety of music too. But one of my favorite artists is Joe Satriani. Awesome guitarist.
I listen to all genres of music, Love music, keeps the beast inside tame. Too many good bands/groups out there. we have a great local music scene here too which i like to support.
Pandora has been set to shuffle between Pink Floyd and Black Label Society for the past couple of weeks. It provides a pretty good mix,
Oh and a new one I discovered last week: 2Cellos…. wait for it

I came to this thread to post exactly this, it’s my go-to station. Also switch to Matchbox Twenty and Audioslave when things get repetitive. Incubus, Sublime, Creed, Eminem, The Goo Goo Dolls…I’m all over the place too. With very rare instances out of the way, I don’t like more than just a few songs from each artist for the most part so my taste is very diversified. But any of these artists get me going depending on the mood.

Sounds like we like the same bands!

Also Gen Blossoms, Oasis, Sound Garden, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Radio Head…Toad The Wet Sprocket.
The 90’s, pretty much. But I like a lot of the 80’s songs, newer stuff too. I just relate with the 90’s artists the most because I was a kid but I’m spread pretty even. The Eagles are great, Aerosmith too…just so many!
My Pandora has Metallica, Jay-Z, Eminem, Led Zeppelin, Lumineers, Counting Crows…you get the point. Broad range. Only genre I have never got into is country…can’t do it.

Rob/White Zombie always gets me pumped also. As far as Country goes, I haven’t ever been able to get into it with the exception of OCMS
Just about anything but Rap/Hip-Hop, and teeny bopper.. I mostly like Classic Rock, Thrash, Prog Rock/Metal. But honestly, when I am in the Workshop, I usually listen to Podcasts, and Old Time Radio Shows, like Dragnet, The Shadow, and Johnny Dollar. Or I have the Radio Scanners going if its late at night. If the boy is in the shop, it’s Country or Stand-Up Comedy.

Nice, who are your favorite comdians? I really like Bill Burr’s stuff.
Satriani is a master that is for sure. Ronnie Montrose is high on my list too.
I just put it on the local radio station
When I’m in the car I listen to ESPN radio, most music stations just irritate me wth the same few songs so i stopped listen to them a few years ago.

I agree shop radio is on a channel couldn’t tell you what one radio stays on 24 hr a day 7 days a week……..don’t even hear it half the time…..
Yeah FM radio gets pretty old when you’re listening to it 80+ hours a week during hay harvest, but I still somehow listen to it the most so I don’t have to try and find music that I like. That’s actually why I started this thread so you guys would do the work for me[emoji16]. At work I have the preset buttons memorized in the International I occasionaly run. I set them up in the middle of station clusters so I can reach over and get to any station on the radio within a few taps without looking away from the road. I swear if I hear Here by Alessia Cara one more time…….
spotify is you friend…..

Yeah, rumor has it that the new tractors this year may have Bluetooth so that may be happening. I honestly spend more time in the International than a tractor though so I may be seeing if my boss would be okay with me swapping the head unit out for one that I have laying around with an auxiliary input.
Agreed, FM radio sucks. I usually spend the first 5 mins or so flipping through stations before switching to my phone(Pandora or music player) at the first red light after I get irritated.
I’ve taken up a habit of listening to a lot of Dido at work. Its great for working at night.
I listen to a top 40 radio station, but I grew up on 90’s rap so my Pandora and Amazon music are usually old school rap. However I will listen to anything. I am also a fan of the Rat Pack, Johnny Cash, old and new Rock, some country, etc. Anything really.
