Nice Job Big Mike! Even representing TIA!

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

So I missed out on my TIA forum most of the day yesterday but I know the crew is always holding down the crew ? so yesterday I got home and started ripping out the my kids carpet and I gotta say Thank u Comp for the blade you suggested bro it made life so much easier and the Bosch oscillating multi tool oh man I don’t know how I went so long without it really saved my butt in a couple of tricky cuts, this was my first time putting down this kinda flooring so let me know what you guys think. My bedroom is next on the list so any tips from you guys will be greatly appreciated. Today I’m hoping to install the base boards up and I’m Not gonna lie guys my knees are killing me this morning lol!

tomdog22Member since Oct 2014

the toll it takes on the knees is the worst part of flooring. Aleve is your friend, or something stronger…

Mondo1310Member since Jun 2015

great job on the floor, ya isn’t funny how the simplest tools can make a job that much easier, or more enjoyable to do for that matter….

only suggestion while installing plank flooring like that is open several boxes and see how many times the pattern repeats to make sure you don’t have sections side by side that are the same.

Man Jimbo I love it bro I highly recommend it, I’ve heard nothing but good things about the milwaukee vac also but this one does a great job so handy to have.

Definitely man I couldn’t believe how much dirt was coming out of it  when we were ripping it out plus my big boy and I have really bad allergies so hopefully this helps out a lot, I still my bedroom to do next but I’m gonna wait a week or 2.

StercorariusMember since Dec 2015

Thanks99!! the make is from Traffic Master not the best but im just hoping it last more than 5 years… That’s my goal for our next house and I just wanna upgrade little things here and there while were here. It says 15yr warranty but not really sure how that works lol! pretty durable though bro I brought home a piece of it and kinda tortured it for a couple days before actually buying it and I gotta say it can take a pretty good beating.

Mike allergies freakin suck man I just got them a couple years ago and my wife has had them forever I always used to trip out on how bad she would get and now im in the same boat along with my oldest, the past couple days have certainly been the worst ive ever had them.

FazzmanMember since Apr 2014

yeah dude i grew up with them, when i lived in other states in my military days they were not as bad, when I moved back here to Cali they got bad again if not worse than before. I gotta take Zyrtec everyday.  All the wind we’ve had recently with all the trees blooming just makes me miserable.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Ok crew so I started ripping carpet out from other room today I couldn’t wait till Saturday lol! But I found this crack in one of the corners of the room just wanted to see if I have to do anything with it or is it bad?

Is this in the corner of the house? Does the ground outside look sunken down a little?

It doesn’t look too bad just from the picture, I’m assuming your house is on a slab, so that settling is probably normal but investigate a little first to put your mind at ease

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Yea Carl it’s the corner of the house, I went outside and and it doesn’t look sunk in or anything plus I would’ve dug it it up a bit but I put cement there last year 🙁  But from what I can see no cracks or anything and when I did dig out there I don’t remember seeing and concerning cracks

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Oh and I forgot yes the house I on slab bro.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

I’m sorry Carl it’s not the corner of the house I’m a dummy this room is almost in the middle between the garage and another room sorry… ?

JimboS1iceMember since Sep 2015

Probably just shifting of the house very natural to a slab, large factor is the concrete as well. I would just seal it up and carry on probably nothing off too much concern.

First room looks really good big Mike!

John GlasseyMember since Jan 2014

Looking at that I would not worry. Looks like what I see a lot in slab homes, just like Jimbo said, seal it the best you can and move on.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Thanks crew!! I knew I could count on my crew! I went to Ace really quick and got some seal for it and I only got this far but it’s time to hit the sheets I gotta be up at 3am ? ? 🙁
