Sorry Phillip I queried it too without any luck a while after I posted it. Are you in Europe?
I can’t find any local listings for the saw in the US
Welcome to the forum, any chance you could modify a similar brush?

Im thinking yes on Europe so try this site out…
http://toolsandpartsdirect.co.uk/DeWalt-DW017-Type-1-Mitre-Saw-Spare-Parts__p-3668.aspx
And here is Dewalt UK for the discontinued machine…..might want to follow up with what Jimbo suggested, there could be a compatible brush set for you on another tool….
http://service.dewalt.co.uk/Products/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=5575&BOMRegionID=1
And with that……I’m home now. I’m going to the shop to work on that out feed table! Good luck Philip and again welcome to the forum! Don’t be scarce!!
thanks im in manchester uk.you would think some body makes these parts as they are wildly used..i shall persevere.

EU service site says ‘no longer available’ so that means for every tool these brushes were used as they deleted the partnumbers altogether.
Best to find some similar brushes and modify to fit.
… welcome!

will do .why do they do it
I would try a local electric motor repair service. All manufacturing plants use motors that are ancient and no longer have parts directly available. They use & depend on these outside companies to stay up and running.
They would have the parts and knowledge to make or modify brushes to fit your motor.
Probably an easy fix to an expert.

My local hardware store gets them for me.
