So I picked up dewalts laser tape measure through Amazon. When I received it, the first thing I did was replace the cheap batteries with brand name batteries. I’m really impressed with the accuracy. It comes with belt holder. Picked up for $75.00. I also picked up an X- controller for the xcarve. Like the xcarve, it comes in pieces. In my opinion it should of been part of the xcarve to start with. Have not got to test it yet, weather to damn cold.
Sweet those Dewalt laser measurers seem pretty nice.

what is your total investment for your xcarver so far?
Xcarve and add ons and bits $2800. Rough guess. That includes dewalt router and dust shoe.
I’m looking into getting one of these one of these days…..
The DeWalt laser is actually really nice. The gentleman from bath fitter who came to measure my bathroom was using one and it is extremely accurate and convenient
