Hey Comp, do we have to pay for that same crap you have to pay for when importing it to the US?

when we buy from US it is a paper work nightmare, plus it usually ends up more than double to cost for various reasons ChrisK was wondering if it was like that when you bought stuff from Canada or is it straight cost

Crazy how that works, he said when I bought the drill from him how you would have gotten raped on the cost, just nuts.

When I order from IhL it’s just straight cost but you don’t qualify for free shipping to ship to US.

ya shipping is nothing as you save enough to justify the little cost anyway, wish it was like that for my end believe me I would own a heck of a lot more tools…lol

Dangerous buying form some Canadian websites because after the exchange rate it’s so cheap

you can buy tools cheaper than these Canadian websites? with exchange and sale prices hard to believe……

In my experience duty is never(at least I’ve never heard of it) charged for items coming from Canada to the US. Duty is almost always charged for US to Canada if Fedex or UPS is used. USPS is much less likely but Canada Post is unreliable and slow when taking over a package from USPS.

I’ve done quite a bit of shipping between Canada and the US; mostly hockey equipment, cigars or rum…now tools.

30 Canadian dollars

Wow. That’s pretty cool. I ended up having to pay like $40 last year when I bought my brushless Makita barrel grip jig from another dealer!

JimboS1iceMember since Sep 2015

Maybe it goes by dealer but I used PayPal for payment

Yeah same here, I it was KMS so I’m wondering if it by dealer. I just got a 5.0 and a brushless drywall gun for 143 shipped.

KMS is the worst for shipping charges, even in Canada spend stupid money only website I know does not have free shipping on anything, won’t buy a 10 penny nail from them not worth it……..a lot of other places range from $100 and up for free shipping which is totally understandable……in you guys cases even if shipping is $25-$30 Canadian funds to ship chances are you still save because of exchange. what is that drywall gun in the states for you to buy Chris?

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Well Comp, if I got the tool only it’d be around $120 plus the 5.0 for about $75. All in all over $50 saved!

comp56Member since Sep 2014

wow last time I checked 3 x $50 is $150, why that has anything to do with it I don’t know……Oh I know you buy three different tools and save $50 or so each you can damn near get a fourth tool for free…..

JimboS1iceMember since Sep 2015

Yes…..2 pack 5.0 DeWalt batteries when you bought a combo kit HD took $150 off between the 2 pack and combo kit.

HD recently raised their price from $169 to $199

Ahhhhh! I’m still happy with what I got for $143 shipped that is a heck of a deal on an awesome drywall gun. She will get a lot of use in the spring too with my new shop!

FazzmanMember since Apr 2014

That seems like a pretty high price, ivenoticed that from CPO. Ive ordered from them one time and did not have a good experience.

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Mike I have always had good luck with CPO when I have ordered with them but I only

Order when I find the right price. They can be pretty expensive.

FazzmanMember since Apr 2014

Yeah my experience with them was on amazon,it wasnt a really severe issue but It took them forever to ship(several weeks).  I had purchased 2 4.0 batts for my porter Cable stuff at the time, the things were listed as Prime. This was about 3 years ago or so.

comp56Member since Sep 2014

Ya $74.95 + $20.37 = $95.32 Canadian you pay 68.49 USD shipped approx.
