Does anyone own the dewalt dsw611 compact router?

If so what are your thoughts. I’ve heard mostly good things but a few consistent negative ones

i have the dwp611 with both bases, and i think its a great little router. had it for almost two years now. other guys have used it and i havnt heard any negatives yet on it. the build quality is very nice.

I got the EU version.. And I love it..!!

I like the size – the light – the two bases

It is the best router I ever had.

I’ve had that with both the fixed and plunge base for a couple of years. Great little router.

i never thought much of the light when i bought it, but after using it its one of the best things, especially when your routing hinges when the jamb is already installed.

It’s only two. I saw quite a few people say that it shit out on them after only a month or 2 and the second negative was that when they sent it to dewalt for warranty it took well over a month for the repair

interesting, dewalt has a 90 day return no questions asked. luckly ive never had to use that, you buy a dewalt tool ,even if you dont like it after using it you can bring it back, before 90 days. i have 20 plus dewalt tools, none have ever been repaired. the only trouble i ever had was a 20 volt kit homedepot had, that didnt work out. i would not hesitate to buy this router combo again. i like it that much.

OK great to know I have been between this and the Makita compact router and I feel like the white might be the better factor that in the very little added RPM I only own a Dewalt drywall gun and a Dewalt jigsaw so I can’t speak much of the brand but it makes me feel good to know that you have a number of tools that have never had to be serviced because I feel like the light is quite a positive attribute
