quick video of my make shift dust collection post, works pretty good…..considering it is a rectangler port
Comp, when you click play, it states ” This video is private “. It may just be me.
Yea it says its set to private comp for me as well.
Private too dude. If you list it as public or the other one (can’t remember the name its for people with a link) it should play.
how about now
Worked for me comp. It looks like it works pretty good too
It works now. That looks like a good idea.
thanks, I have my dust collector start automatically with any dust making tool by just pulling the trigger of the tool, and stays on 7 seconds after the tool shuts off to collect anything afterwards……
Looks good comp! Very innovative but that doesn’t surprise me coming from you.
Pretty sweet Comp, any chance you can show off all the features?

not for that kind of money, $31 will be close to $50 by the time I get it and I made one for about 79 cents that I’m sure works just as good……but thanks anyway…..
No doubt. Found one for $19 on eBay. Amazon third party sellers are always a sure way to pay too much for just about everything.

Nice job comp!
Nice work Comp, how did you hook it up to start the vac when you pulled the trigger and how does the vac remain on for 7seconds after you release the trigger?

Woodcraft is now selling a Karcher DC unit that is $199 with the power converter in it now. Pretty cool that you can but these for a variety of prices now. Also I have read of conversion kits that you can add directly to the DC unit.
I gotta get me one of these Thanks guys!
Yea that seems pretty necessary to have in a shop.
It’s the Karcher WD5/P

You know the more I read about that DC unit the more it sounds appealing and similar to the 2 I have. And like mine it takes bags which will prolong the life of the unit. Totally worth it in my opinion. Plus the ability to roll around. For instance, I’m taking a class right now for a large project build. Prior to me going to class I’m using my TS on the other side of my shop to break down sheet goods. I just roll the unit over, it provides power and it won’t cost people an arm and a leg for the Festool, Bosch or Dewalt units which are similarly priced. The power unit Comp is using is also a much cheaper way of using the shop gave but this Karcher is viable too if you afraid of dust like me.
I’m trying to keep things in place, I can not use more than one tool at a time so this works for me as the big collector stays put and the hoses get connected. I might however double my set up for the other side of the shop
Makes sense Comp, with me everything has to be mobile. If I had your seized shop id be the same way with a central DC unit and hoses. His spring summer God Willing!!!

haha don’t kid yourself I have a quarter sized shop fitting in a dime….
greatest feature of this basement shop is I have a ground level entrance in the front as the house is built into a hill….
I guess I bought my miter saw at the right time, back to $699
