Just noticed AvE’s Patreon is almost 7k a month in Donations

I have been following him after Regopit posted some his first tear down videos. Do you guys think he is putting out enough content to justify that amount of money in donations via Patreon? I know they probably take a cut but that is still a decent amount of money. Also its not his full time job either. That’s not figuring in Youtube money either.  I love his videos they are not perfect, but he is entertaining. I’m think I’m just amazed at the whole thing https://www.patreon.com/AvE?ty=c

Yes and he is doing pay for view videos now too. I love his approach to getting the truth out about tools. But you’re right jasonc. I don’t like to talk about anyone so this is all I have to say about AvE. thanks for posting this.

Wow I didn’t know he got that much. I like his videos, but that’s some pretty good coin. Has anyone heard what happened with the drill fight drills the guys sent him?

Nothing really happened with that either. Guess that kinda rubbed me wrong about him lately.

He buys some expensive stuff too. And expensive stuff to take apart too sometimes. Like that 500 dollar blender he put rocks in. And it’s the fans choice to pay him. He isn’t making people pay him. And it would be like 2 dollars from each person.

I was hoping he would have at least made a video to tear them apart. I know the guys spent some pretty good money just to ship them to him.

Kruton, I thought I remember in one of his videos right after getting them, he asked he subscribes if anyone wanted one just comment and he would pick one and send it to them. So?

People are free to do what ever they want to do with their money. I give him a buck too I just though it kinda crossed a crazy line that’s all.

MillerzconstructionMember since Dec 2015

I bet there are other YouTube’s making bukoos more and doing a whole lot less though. Like playing video games. Or somthing… I wish I could get people to send me 6000. And he is doing stuff he doesn’t want people to see what he is doing unless you pay .49 cent to watch the video. Watch one of those and you’ll see where a lot of the money goes. Buying blocks of aluminum and expensive plastic to see through 5 or so inches thick.

You guys know, that’s what makes Eric, Dan and TIA, so special! and why I like them and you guys. Sure they setup a patreon account and ask everyone to contribute. But recently when they learned of the guys collecting money for a present for them, Dan mentioned doing away with the patreon account. I’m sure he’s forgot about that by now lol. Because they want the tool companies to foot the bill. I don’t think AvE would get that kind of support from the tool companies. Ok that’s all I have to ramble about, time for me to take my medicine and pass out for a half hour or so lol. If you read this. Thanks.

I guess it just rubs me wrong that TIA can’t manage to break 100 bucks on Patreon that’s all. Maybe that’s why I have that opinion.

John GlasseyMember since Jan 2014

I agree, believe me if I could I’d give them $100.00 bucks a month myself. All for the amount of entertainment they give me. Hell I don’t even watch cable anymore.

Never know AvE took in that much money

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I didn’t want to start a war Protool. I just had a wtf moment there when I saw the number. Like I said fees taxes and all of that takes a good chunk, but still I was shocked I figured it was like 2 or 3 grand not nearly 7

If you asked me TIA should be the ones making 6,000 a month on Patreon, thats cause TIA has real content from real guys who don’t need to use wild words like Milfukee to gain people’s attention to watch.

Is that true that yahoo has never done any video’s with the drills that TIA graciously provided for him? Thats just wrong man! Someone should make a shirt that says AVE Suck This with an arrow pointing down.

That’s him

Ok you guys have done it now! TIA is officially at $100.00 per month on patreon. Of course they will cancel it now too. Lol

You won’t believe what my f****g washing machine did to my grey hoodie, it pulled the strap inside the hoodie, there is no way I can ever get it back out. Well, not that I really needed it per say but still. WTF causes that when washing machines do damage? Is it the spin cycle or something?

Have you tried pulling it back out? If it can be pulled all the way out you can use some wire to thread it back through. If not, you can normally bunch the fabric enough to get to it with long pliers or forceps. My washer used to do that to me all the time. I started knotting them up pretty good to stop it from happening.

Yo Jimbo I am proud of you dude! Whenever someone follows in my footsteps I am proud, I bought like 80 dollars worth of gear from TIA, so I say your doing a good job there dude. Please do not forget to post pictures of your gear, wear in pride buddy 🙂

Must be contagious, just bought a hoodie, shirt and decals. How long does it take to receive once you order? Will post pics of the items, and not with me in them. That would be wrong.

I’ve got two hoodies and four t shirts. The t shirts are fantastic. The hoodies are starting to pill up but they don’t shrink. I’d like to see them come out with the fleece type Eric has but I know it.l cost the guys dearly. Regardless, you get some nice quality and the pilling on my sweatshirts are around the hood where it touches my face. Natural to happen if you don’t have lady like skin 😉 it roughs up the material. I love my hoodies though!

That was quick! Just saw that the order is to be delivered today. Well maybe? It might be a little delayed do to the blizzard of 2016. But if I get my gear today will post a pic.

Actors are drauma queens who pretend to be somebody their not for a living, until they believe they are the charactor they play, do a role that involves lots of drauma, they fall into extreme depression afterwords and then commit suicide. Don’t believe me? Look it up, lots of actors have lost their minds after acting.

Athletes are people who have too much energy and need to release it. So instead of a country with civil war full of people trying to kill each other, like we see in the middle east, we play games to get rid of the energy instead.

I recognize that everybody is different. But I don’t need to pretend to be somebody I am not just to have receive gratification from other’s, I also don’t have war like tenancies where I feel the need to become an athlete, or go on a rampage with a gun like these idiots you hear on the news. I like to keep it real, just sayin

It was a rhetorical question, I don’t really care what you think. I do think you have a screw loose and need to set the tabloids down, however. Maybe I’m just acting like a prick…or am I? Better go kill myself, lmao.

LOL yeah like I read tabloids Jass, those are for woman, men read them and you’ll get hemroids. I rather read playboy, afterall, its the only way I will get excitement out of a magazine. So do you make a living making rhetorical questions or is that hereditary? Just keep it real Jass, keep it real. 😉

That’s about all you can do with Playboy anymore is read it. I don’t think they have pictures anymore.

I’m a big AvE fan. I don’t do Patreon but I’ve subscribed to his pay per views. Because of what he does to the tools he is never going to get freebies from the tool companies and some of the industrial stuff he is buying to strip down is mega bucks. I also find the techy geeky side interesting too. Plus you won’t find a more honest tool review on the internet. Who else has taken a $gazillion Festool saw, stripped it down and proven it to be pretty much junk?

I also don’t agree that he speaks the way he does to attract audiences. I have spent my career working with guys that speak like that. Canada has a more British outlook than the US and here in Britain we generally take the piss out of everything and everyone. In fact if a British guy isn’t taking the piss out of you, your car, your job, your wife, your house then he probably doesn’t like you very much. 🙂
