not a star wars fan so won’t be seeing it, but my son said it was ok done well to continue …

Saw it Sat morning. It was awesome. Exceeded all expectation. Probably the best in the series next to Empire.
It was good but didnt meet up to my very very high expectations.
Rushed characters, some story items re hashed from the older Movies. Small inconsitencies ( nit picking here ! )
But thats me having stupidly high expectations 🙂
It was good but it did leave a bunch of questions about who the First Order is and stuff like that. I also wanted to see the Battle of Jakku that sounded like it would have been pretty epic to see.
I didn’t watch any of them but my friends have been telling me it was pretty awesome
I’ve had mixed reviews at work as well. I have def heard it didn’t live up to all the hype but that it was still good. I think I’m with jimbo… Waiting for it to come out so I can watch from my couch.
Saw it last Thursday. My gf is a bigger geek than I am about it and wore an R2D2 dress lol. Without going into to many specifics and spoilers I liked it quite a bit. The biggest complaints seem to be they recycled many many themes but I think that was entirely intentional to get the franchise back on track. It was orders of magnitude better than the prequels and up there in feel to to the originals. It “feels” like a Star Wars movie which I guess is the best compliment you could make. There are some nits to pick but overall the good far outweighs the bad. The pacing is excellent imho and the effects look good without being too CGI-ish like the prequels.
The reviews sound awesome, I’m a big big fan of Star Wars, but like Jimbo, I’ll wait. I got nothing but time. ⌚️
Great movie. My only concern is too many loose ends and things to explain that likely won’t see proper explanation. Exceptional regardless. Only thing that bugged me was C3PO’s voice. It seemed…off.
I’ve heard nothing but great reviews. Never seen a single one yet.
