Ha! I’m not the only one with a mixed family!!! Nice stuff Ricky!
Thanks Chris!
I’ve been scrambling for the past few weeks to come up with something for all these dang chargers. I noticed the display tools were gone from this rack and asked a buddy at Lowes if I could have it. The regional rep for DeWalt came in today and he said OK. I saw it and instantly thought it was perfect for chargers. Perforated deck for zip ties and to bolt down the chargers with key hole slots. Only one I am missing is the Paslode charger. But I’m not too upset it’s not on there. I’m literally tying it all down now.
Looks good dude, I like it.

Well what a great use for it too Ricky. Plus some FaceTime for Dewalt on TiA!!!!!
That looks super cool Ricky!
I like it, plus the bed of it is black so if you decide to tie up those power cords, they’ll basically disappear and it will look slick as heck. I wouldn’t mind having one of those in seeing the result, great idea!
ingenuity at it’s finest right there…good job…..

Here is the rack display of anyone wants to see if their local Lowes still has it.
Cool setup
I never seen that rack at Lowes
I just tossed this together today for a upcoming job.
Looks good Rego!! Looks like u got a big project ahead of you.
I want to see a picture of the batteries.

It’s a older house with three apartments in it so I have 3 bathrooms and 3 kitchens.
Did you put screws into the DeWalt chargers?
Nice set up Rego/Ricky

yes I used self tappers that are used on steel studs. they are about 1/8″ so they barely grab the plastic case

Definitely like the set up! Might have to come up with something for my own… God knows I have enough chargers!!!
Found this on the book of faces
Wish DeWALT would come out with a 6-bay charger, much like team red has. Or a Toughsystem charger that has like 6 or 8 bays behind a lid so you can use it in the rain, but still have leds on the front/top so you can see the charging status.

That’s why I like the little chargers that Dewalt do , 2 screw mounts on the back , shame the bigger ones don’t have them

I have the DeWALT car charger in my van. I added some screw mounts myself. And an on/off button so I could use the charger to store a battery and not be using any power. Still want to add a 2nd one. But a 6-way charger would be nice on site.
Sent from somewhere by someone using something.
It sure would 🙂

Tough system charger would be pretty sweet and have it set up for AC or DC.

Correct me if I am wrong but I thought you can charge the high amp hour battery’s on the small chargers?? Or is it that it just takes longer to charge?
I charge from 1.3 upto 5ah on my little chargers , yes takes a little bit longer but that’s better for the batteries , I have enough batteries not to be worried , it’s the reason makita owners batteries fail so much charging them in 20mins or what ever it dose it in just nackers them

Also the small ones run of my 2000w inverter but the big ones don’t

How much charge you let in, storage temp and charge you store they on is what mainly determines how many cycles you get.locksmithmatt wrote:

And by alterning theese it could be from a couple of thousands, to just a few hundred . To counter this, the makita charger has active cooling on the batteries, like most other quick chargers, and can therefore charge much faster than a passively cooled one without heating up.
Also, other protection mechanisms operate to keep the batteries condition best possible (too low and to high temp etc…) And you see quick charging like that in a lot of products. From the high end Teslas to the smaller and cheaper products.
Also, chargers that charge slow can and wiøl usually be a lot cheaper to make. And 45 mins on a 5Ah battery is not THAT quick in today’s market. 😉
Li-ion is much better than older battery techs on that point (and most other too).
I’m not fussed by the speed of the charger as I have more than enough batteries to cover the charge time , I would rather the charger look after the battery than do it quick , my batteries are numbered so I use them in order or if using a few tools , use batteries 1234 on rotation till there dead then 5678 etc
You need ear defenders round the Makita batteries for the amount of noise they make 🙂

What I would love to see is a multi battery charger but they really need to surpass the competition. How about a multi battery simultaneous charger with some sort of inverter capabilities? Now THAT would be awesome!
And it stacks with Tough boxes!

That’s funny about the Makita charger noise, the first time I heard one I was like is this thing going to launch into outer space..lol

Just need to get a bigger power strip and maybe a timer to keep it from running 24/7.
