I’m not sure if big box stores carry the brushless compact drill. If they carry the DCD790D2 I’m sure they will carry the 791 when it becomes available. Because the 791 is replacing the 790. Same with the 886 and the new 887 impact. ETA December. Sorry, I’m not on the big box side, but i’m willing to bet you’ll see both new tools there.

Is the DCF895 going away? HD has it for 161 with the 2.0s and that is one heck of a deal for a great gun.

Yes, the 895 is going away.
