Picked one of these up last night and was testing it out, surprised at the strength of the magnet. Definitely worth having in your bag of tricks, not as good as an old fashion magnetic sleeve but I was impressed with the strength of the magnet to the screw. I have a couple dewalt sleeves like this but they tend to slide a little. With this makita there is no play. The bits fit very snug in it as well.

Yeah, these are great… it’s nice that the magnet collar just pops right off so you can use it without in all the applications where it gets in the way.. then Just stick it back on when you need it!
I’ve got that holder with the little pop up bit set. The magnet and holder are great. I like how compact the bit set is, I can just throw them in my pocket and head outside with them. Nice set of bits.

I like it but I only use it on 3 inch or larger screws, everything else just a regular magnetic bit holder with sleeve
What is the sleeve look like folks are talking about

Interesting,I have a Dewalt one that is very similar I really like.
Looks like a nice little stocking stuffer in my stocking of course.
I have four of these sets. The bits are a good variety (impact gold) and well made. They used to have a set that came with some sockets as well.
