That’s an awesome deal. Love mine.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

Well I just ordered it! It was too good of a deal not too!! Bye Bye cordless Paslode framer and trim gun!!!

PaulEMember since Mar 2015

I was going to post this as well.

I don’t need it at the moment, but have said in the past I will buy one the next wood framing job I have.

Is this the newest version?

I am probably going to buy tonight

khariVMember since Dec 2014

Does anyone know the difference between the 690 and the 692?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

Two speeds. I’ve got the 692

ChrisKMember since Dec 2012

That is to say the 690 has one setting whereas the 692 has two but you really would be quite alright with the 690, still brushless and awesome gun. Only problem is the 3.0s get eating up pretty quick so get yourself a 4.0 or 5.0 and it will go and go and go!

DR99Member since Nov 2012

This kit comes with a 4.0ah battery. Now that I have some Dewalt again I might get the 20v max yard stuff now.

SarbatcheMember since Oct 2014

Yup. I was just about to post this deal myself. Is anyone not satisfied with their single speed nailer? Though… For a difference of $250 I don’t know how I couldn’t manage to cope with it.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

They single speed is just to give longer battery life if your driving shorter nails it has nothing to do with how fast you can put down nails.

BigmikezMember since Jun 2013

Wow that’s freakin sweet deal man!! WHHHYYYYYYY WHEN I DONT HAVE MONEY!!!

overanalyzeMember since Oct 2011

Sweeeeet!! Just ordered one! I have been eyeing this gun for a while. Awesome deal!

I like my Paslode but no fuel to deal with is pretty awesome!!! I might sell my Senco and Paslode cordless trim nailers, and just do all in with the Dewalt nailers down the road.

MikeyBMember since Dec 2014

Thats a great deal, I was crushing my paslode framer today and still love that Gun (never lets me down) even after close to 15 years of use.. I am hard pressed to give it up to a new cordless framer…… But that Dewalt looks sweet……

PaulEMember since Mar 2015

I went ahead and bought one.

I always need batteries and chargers. If that is worth $100

I cant turn down a mailer form149.

I’m excited to use it, come spring I have a few large projects where it will get put to the test.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

If I was a guy that installed fences this would be a game changer. Pneumatic has to be a huge pain in the ass from long ass hoses to finding an outlet. The Dewalt  lets you get running in no time!!! The Paslode wasn’t bad but fuel costs sucked and it could be a pain in cold weather. The one thing that is nice about the Paslode is the weight the only thing that blows is the damn thing wont be here till Monday 🙁

Santi_78342Member since Jul 2015

Thanks for the link. I couldn’t pass it up. If I don’t like it, I’m sure I can get my money back and then some on Craigslist!

77FordMember since Dec 2014

Sweet deal, in for 1

DeWalt

khariVMember since Dec 2014

Damn it – I had to have one too.  At least it’s not COMPLETELY a new battery platform for me.  My Dewalt OMT will now have some company.

LastOfTheVee8sMember since Aug 2015

I was kicking around the idea of getting one but now it’s listed as “out of stock”

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I don’t know if they ran out or its out of stock now because it was a daily deal. It was one of those things where you had to make a quick decision.

khariVMember since Dec 2014

The deal actually lasted for a couple of days. I was really hoping that it was just a 24 hour desk and could ignore it on the first day, but then I came back the next day and it was still live so I took that as a sign that I needed to pull the trigger.

From the looks of thing 5 people here bought one. I all most feel like a crack dealer

DR99Member since Nov 2012

It was hard to say no at that price:( I figure I can break even at worst selling my Paslode. Even though the Dewalt weights more not having to deal with fuel cells and everything else that goes with owning a Paslode is nice. They added a new Paslode nailer to the UTB but nothing information wise about it has leaked yet. The big thing is Dewalt should make an new positive placement version or a tip that allows it. A cordless nailer is perfect for hangers and such.

Make that 6 people. And a +1 for the positive placement attachment.

Man, I should have snapped up this deal, congrats to all that scored this one 🙂

I have the Bostitch Strapshot Metal Connector Nailer and  use the hell out of that thing. Now that you have to use so many types of straps and hangers a 20 volt one would be sweet.

Paslode used to make one but stopped. The only option it seems is a pneumatic gun like the strap shot or palm nailer. Paslode sells this gun in the UK but not here http://www.itwcp.co.uk/products/paslode/gas-systems/first-fix-gas-nailers/ppn35ci-lithium-positive-placement-nailer/

I think the plan is going to be sell my Paslode guns and the Senco I got a good deal on a few weeks ago and go all Dewalt with my nailers. It will be weird having some yellow tools again

I hear what you are saying Jason. I was all red now I have some yellow slipping in. The framer, the new drywall screw gun, the 20v miter saw and now I’m looking at the new finish nailer.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

When a company has a tools you want is hard to say no. Milwaukee has no nailers and it seems like they wont have them in the foreseeable future

Yes, yes, yes…..I was afraid mixing red and yellow would turn them to the orange 😆

I was a big Dewalt fan their headquarters is 15 min from my house and they had a service center there and I would go their all the time and get some great deals. When it was time to start to replace these tools Dewalt was lagging behind so I had to move on. Its wasn’t a bad break up we remained friends but now they are slipping back in.

I have plenty of red and yellow and surprisingly they get along well… For the most part, sometimes my yellow gets a little jealous though

Mine won’t be here until tomorrow

Not yet just charged the battery and that’s about it.

Mine will be here in the morning!!

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I just was able to mess around with it a little bit tonight. Its nice but the one downside is it does have more weight than the paslode.

Wow, I haven’t even gotten a shipping notification yet. I might have to have a chat with CPO tomorrow to see what’s going on.

Some early holiday shopping for yourself  🙂

khariVMember since Dec 2014

Mine showed up today – unannounced!

I do have a question for the rest of the crew that got theirs as part of this sale.  Mine looks like it’s been roughly handled.  I don’t want to say that it looks abused, but… well, it looks used.  There was sawdust in the nose, scratches all along the rail and scuffs and slight dings in the housing (metal and plastic parts).  I doubt very much that any of this will affect its performance, but I haven’t had a chance to go out to buy a strip of nails to test it out myself.

Is this normal?  Was it just tested at the factory and perhaps bumped around a bit or are they trying to pull a fast one?  I’ve never had a “new” tool come out of the box looking quite so rough, even if it really is still mostly pristine looking.

DR99Member since Nov 2012

I would call CPO and complain I will admit my tool had some black dirt stuff on it but that was just rubbing against the plastic in the case. Was your battery sealed in plastic? Because mine was. They might have had to push refurbs out the door as new ones to make up the difference if they over sold, or someone grab your nailer from the wrong pile. Mine looked like it might have got a little banged around in shipping but that was it, and it just wiped off.
