Nice One !
thats pretty cool
Yeah, that’d be nice in the shop.
Wow that really does look compact . It seems like it might give ryobi some competition . The only thing I don’t like about makita is that there batteries seem outdated . I kno they charge faster than other but idk why they don’t put led on them to check the power.
They are supposed to have LED battery status gauges soon iiloverr ๐ Makia can be slow to launch new things at times. It took awhile for us to get the 4.0 and 5.0 ah battery packs in the states.
Supposedly by november ๐
5.0amp with battery gauge BL1860B
4.0amp with battery gauge BL1840B
2.0amp compact battery with gauge BL1820B
๐
Whatched it 5 times and I not embarrassed lol
Are there anymore?
Took Makita quite a while to add gauges to their battery line. Better late than never ๐

Yesh ! Now the 6 amp and beyond batteries that the Makita director spoke off and were good ๐
It’s odd to me how a lot of the top of the line stuff gets released overseas and takes forever to make its way to the states… Any particular reason?
Does anyone have any experience with the Makita pneumatic nailers?

Personally i believen it is because of profit matgins. Power tools are very much more expensive over here in the EU then they are in Amerika.
As a company, if you just reasearched and produced a new tool, i suppose it is logical that you first sell it in large margin countries ๐
It looks so much better in a video then in pictures its very small and looks slightly better on video.
That’s a good point about the batteries, have an changes been made to them since they were first released? I know they added the star protection or what ever its called, but what about the cells or if any electronics were added?ย
The star protection are the Electronics.
Lets face it. Dewzlt calls it ‘xr’
Milwaukee calls it ‘ red lithium ‘
Makita calls it ‘ lxt with star protection’
Its all thesame crap in a different colored casing ๐
All Brands use thesame lithium 18650 cells in their batteries.
Everyone’s a copycatย ::)
There is just not really much inside a battery pack really.
Only difference you’ll find is that for example Bosch had put most Electronics into their tools and not in the batteries. Milwaukee had put most of the Electronics in their battery packs and less in the tools.Makita had split it up between the tool and the battery.
But it is always there ! ๐

I haven’t seen many Makita pneumatic nailers on job sitesย
We don’t use coil nailers in Australia for framing .The coil nailers I’m talking about is the AN611. We use them mainly for nailing off bracing ply, cladding , decking and nailing off straps and tie downs. The older of the guns would be 8 or 9 years old and is only recently showing signs of wear. I bought a senco about a year ago but rarely use it as I like the Makitas better.torontotoolman wrote:
